Include clan emblems as balloon decals

Not sure how complex or resource-hungry task that would be, but it would be superextracool if players were able to use their clan's emblems as balloon decals.

Like, give us some formatting specifics (size, colormode, shape, filetype) and allow us to upload icons that are visible on each clan's page and can also be used in place of balloon decals for players' ships as long as they're members of that clan.

Well if it worked like the Sprays that games like L4D have then that would work. But ya gotta remember, it may lead to increased loadtimes going into matches because everyone will have to load the image. So you'd have to keep filesize down to a bare minimum. This may not be feasible.

Ultimately...it might be better to utilize a 3 or 4 image mix. Halo and BF3 both have used this for clan logos and images. They'd make a stock gallery and you'd overlay images on top of each other in different colors. When combined it would create a composite image that would be used for a logo. The images would be all preloaded so no extra loading other than the engine taking some time to draw them on. Muse could control filesize and quality of images better this way. They could also avoid problems with people using offensive imagery.

Not that there wouldn't be some that would try to combine images to make something offensive. The dick monsters of Spore that were all the rage years ago are a prime example of people making offensive imagery out of things that weren't intended to be offensive.

I think so long as the files were kept relatively small by capping the resolution it wouldn't be so bad. Eventually established clans would have their logos preloaded into the game, just not available to everyone (much like kickstarter costumes).

Ya know, Muse could just give clans their own tabard. So then we can pull a WoW and go around advertising "We have a tabard!"

I do not miss those days...small and big guilds alike would always note that and it just bugged the heck out of you because they made it seem like it was a major achievement. %@%@@$!! advertise raid achievements or something that really matters, not a freaken custom drool cloth!!
