New Gunner Tool: Aviator Glasses
« on: February 01, 2014, 03:53:59 pm »
This is a wearable tool that makes it actually possible to see the enemy on maps with bright clouds like Canyon Ambush and Battle of the Dunes.  Lets you see spots clearly while reducing the glare from clouds by 80%.

I believ its just the target spotting that needs tweaking along witht he cursor. along with everything else white.

The best way to fix all that is white is black outlines over the white. that way we dont need this tool. It just needs a graphical fix.

What about an ejection seat so you can kick those pesky second gunners off your gun.

The annoying thing for me is that the only way I can see spotted ships is to stand behind a wall.  If I am on a gun, all I see is white everywhere.

I like the idea. Would turning down your brightness help at all though?

Shooting at white boxes on a white background with a white crosshair and white projectile tracers showing white hit markers; this is the essence of lumberjack gunnery, anything else would not be the same.

Why are the clouds brighter than the sun?

What we really need for visibility with spotting receptacles is having them using inverted colors.

I also included that the color should be changeable.

Inverted colors Guarantees that the receptacle will be visible at all times, colored would not.

No need to invert, keep them white, but add a black outline.
