In round one we saw them face off against the
Riders, and despite the Riders having made their competitive debut one week prior to the tournament starting, they put up a strong fight with a number of impressive engages. In round two they met
Zill's Merry Men. Zill executed a very effective Squid rush-down in the first game on Canyon, but was unable to find similar success on the following maps. In the semifinals their opponent was
The RAFT. The highly aggressive style of this Duck team was a poor match against the defensive posturing of the Gents, and we had a three-zero victory sending our fancy victors to the finals. Unfortunately after multiple technical issues, the Paddling decided to forfeit the finals match and was unable to reschedule.
Despite the finals match not being played, The Gentlemen defeated very strong opponents throughout the tournament and they are our champion! I would like to give thanks to all the teams who participated in the event: you produced some of the best matches this game has seen. A special thanks to our casters: Brick Hardcastle, Papa Paradox, Imagine, and Frogger. They supplied us with on-point and entertaining commentary for the many time slots played over the course of the event.
