Finally got my Planetary Annihilation beta key like three weeks ago, so if you're wondering why I've been less active on the forums it because of... no not really, I've only had time to play like 3 matches yet, but from what I've played so far I'm really liking what I'm seeing. As a huge fan of Total Annihilation, I've always been hoping for a sequel. I did try the SupCom games, but I never really fell for 'em. I don't know why really, maybe a mix of the annoying UI and the general flow of the game. But yeah, I do feel the mechanics of TA in this, and along with the massive expansionism and battles
(totally unlike SubCome eh.. kay maybe not), interplanetary fighting and nuking everything out of orbit, I'm pretty psyched.
The only thing I'm missing really is the Big Bertha's, but I guess tactical nukes and laser-beam satellites will have to suffice
Also bought Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, which I've only had time to mess around with the character creator so far, but I'm hoping to get some time to play it soon.
Lastly, I also stumbled across this cool little game not so long ago. It's called "Super Hot", and it's probably your best bet at ever achieving that matrix-dodge feeling you've always wanted in a game. Basically it's a regular FPS, just that time only moves when you do. So once you see a bunch of bullets heading straight towards you, you can just release the keyboard and take your time to make the best decision as to where you'll dodge. You're probably gonna need to as well as there's gonna be a lot of bullets flying in the later levels.
It's on unity web player so I'd recommend anyone to try it out for themselves:
