N-Sunderland:
The Goldfish is, quite honestly, the second most durable ship in the game.

Echoez:
It is indeed and I love it.

James T. Kirk:
Yea, but its armor is so bad that its not hard to take notches out of the Perma-hull bit by bit.

Don't get me wrong, The Goldfish is my favorite ship, but its marginal armor makes the Pyri a little more durable, in my opinion.

6 strokes of a spanner and the armor is back up in shape, with a few manuvering, you should be able to not take much perma hull damage if at all and you can even survive 5 buffed shots from a Flak on your perma. If the Goldfish goes tank mode it can easily keep its armor up when the need to escape arrises, in other situations, your guns should either take care of the target or you will be in long range sniping, it's a fine ship, don't laugh its low armor away, just like the Squid it can tank a lot with propper engineering.

James T. Kirk:
6 spanners and a mallet, and the armor is pretty much new.

I fly a Goldfish 85% of the time, but it doesn't feel "tanky" like the Galleon does.

That may just be my tendency to panic when the hull goes down, or maybe our good fish's relative fast speed an quick turning, or maybe I just run into a lot of explosive-laden ships.

While, yes, it can take a fair bit of punishment, it can't take punishment consistently. If you manage to win a close fight while flying a Junker, you can repair most of your total hitpoints. Winning a close fight on a Goldfish leaves you with significantly less of your total hitpoints.
