Change Buff Hammer to Buff Spray
« on: March 25, 2018, 05:17:46 pm »
The buff hammer has always been a confusing issue, especially for new players. If something is broken, you hit it with something. This leads to quite a few people accidentally whacking things with the buff hammer when they are broken. Even vets do this by mistake on occasion.

My suggestion is to remove the buff from the 'whack it' category and add to the 'spray application' catagory.

Change from DynaBuff Industries Kit to DynaBuff Miracle Oil. Basically, WD-40 or whatever your favorite brand may be. It is universally known to make things operate faster and more smoothly. Simple to understand, unmistakable, and innuendo friendly to boot.

*Power-lube is an actual brand of motor oil. I found this image when looking for old oil cans.

It's also counter intuitive to have to spray a thing more than once. So there is that. But whatever, as long as this is just a remodel of buffhammer I don't care. I just think muses time could be spent on something other than a non-issue

Yeah, he probably isn't. Still though, most players most likely are not.

True. Few people are likely to understand the feeling of drowning that stuck part in WD-40 for the 10th time and resorting to actually hitting the part with a hammer to fix it.

That reminds me. I hate working on cars. xD

hammer buff = moderate and long-lasting
spray buff = higher intensity and short-lasting / trickle-damages component

Ebbs the toolset closer to how fireproofing tools work.

If this becomes a thing I will be yelling for my engineers to "lube me up," and heaven help us if Zuka finds out that there is "Power Lube" in the game.

This is actually pretty cool.
I would however, probably mention this.
Perhaps, make it an option for people to decide whether they want to spray or hammer.
Similar to the Golden Tools button.

Other than that, My body is ready to be powered up by my crew!  ;)
