The fate of two guns rests in the hands of those brave enough to show up to devapp testing this Friday and weekend. If testing reactions are overwhelmingly positive, these changes have a very high chance of making it into the Alliance release on the 31st. For that to happen, we need all hands on deck. Get in devapp. Hit those matches, and hit them hard. Find the meta and abuse it. Get as many people to test and send feedback as possible.

Official testing will be 5PM ET (9PM UTC) Friday and 12PM ET (6PM UTC) Saturday, but feel free to arrange your own testing times.

Harpoon

80 Piercing (240 armor damage when buffed 20% + Charged)
135 Flechette (390 balloon damage when buffed 20% + Charged)
10s reload
6s Rope duration
250m/s velocity
40 degrees up (reversed from 40 deg down)
20 degrees down (reversed from 25 deg up)
600m range (shorter range allows for longer rope duration due to phantom rope bug)
12m/s2 drop (this gives it the same general path it has now, but 2x faster)

Results in 6 seconds of 'usage' time, and 4 seconds of 'idle time' where you can get off the gun and fix things. This is not out of line with most other light guns.

Hellhound

30° up arc from 20°
35° side arcs from 25°

Includes Heavy Clip to 90% jitter reduction instead of damage/range/jitter changes.

Addendum: If there is not sufficient feedback to constitute a full range of tests, these changes will most likely not make it into the game. Pass the word around.

This means the harpoon will have to be used in every way possible in an attempt to find out if it is OP or broken. Break it as you break your enemies' ships and wills.

Note:Piercing and Flechette are switched in the list. Primary is actually Flechette, and Piercing secondary. This will not be changed in the tests.

For Hellhound, we already know typical Blenderfish works. The changes will have very little effect on the 'Fly right at the enemy and sit there' tactic. We are looking for more Galleons and Spires, or bifecta Goldfish if you absolutely must fly a Goldfish, as well as use on ships in Alliance.
