Untouched fluff
« on: April 09, 2016, 06:07:25 pm »
Ok, now I found myself extremely confused: who did invent Moonshine?
There must be somebody who invented the Moonshine, it couldn't just be there!
The descovery of the creator of the Moonshine will also show which faction is most likely to get drunk to be more inventive.

Guild.

It was definitely the merchants guild.

Angelans raid others for food and supplies.
Arashi live in a desert, water is important.
Baronies live with honor. Alcohol isn't that.
Chaladons are too stuck up. Food is probably more important.
Yeshans built on order and discipline. Alcohol isn't that. AGAIN.

What makes an excellent buck?
Alcohol.
What does the merchants guild find more important than life?
Money.

Who made Moonshine?
The Guild.

If I'm going to be totally honest?

It's Sir Issac Phillips, it's always Sir Issac Phillips.

Was that your only question?

Do you want to discuss other unexplainable things in GoI?
Like skywhales?
How falling off the ship teleports you back on the ship?
How the endless volleys of bullets, shells, and rockets never kill YOU? But always damage the ship?
Why damage to the balloon of a zep  can be fixed by hitting the boiler of the ship rather than PATCH THE BALLOON directly?

No? Don't want tear a hole in the fabric of space and time?
Alright then. Moving on.

Don't rule out Chaladonians... They are after all the most alchemical, growing plants and making potions...
Many alchohols coming from fruits and vegetables which need to be grown.

Stuck up has nothing to do with it, an alchemist made a very potent brew, quite possibly intended to be as a potion base, and a pilot added it to the engine one day, discovered it made the engine a lot more effective with side effects, the recipe got handed around and adjusted over time.

Regarding all the other questions from Skymonger.
Try not to let gameplay mechanics represent your immersion or roleplay point of view, instead use it as a reference, for example when I was writing my little stories for GoI, crew mates would take cover behind certain parts of the ship when under fire, leaving cover when it was safe, armour repairs would be done using abseiling pulleys and an engineer jumping down the side and  rebolting the armour plates back in place, balloon repairs, grapling hook and ropes.

Crew member fell off the ship? They would splat onto the floor in the shape of a human pizza.

Moreover, discussions about some of the things that Skymonger said are already somewhere on the forum.
Apparently the crew is all made up of ghosts, who battle eternally on these vessels, and their souls are tied to a certain vessel for some time and because of it, when they think they are falling from the ship to the ground, they are just falling again onto the ship.
Also, the binding of the souls would explain why you can't board enemy ships: you can't enter other souls' domains.

And nobody, I repeat, nobody, can talk about the Skywhales, you could only in case you were a newly appointed CA and you pledged loyalty to the great Skywhale

Now the great Moustache God says that I must go back studying Sophocles

Oh I knew about those references, I was meerly responding in a joke like manner.
I wasn't being serious at the time of response.
I don't have a social life, so if I cared, I'd spend so many hours forum diving to obtain information.

All I wrote was simply off the top of my head and not intended to be up for serious discussion as I thought this wasn't a "serious" thread.
But y know, I can be wrong. I'm human.

I don't understand the skywhales thing though. Why is everyone going nuts about them?
There's like a freaking cult about them.

I understood it was a joke, but it feels oh-so-good when I let them pass over my head and brush my glorious, silly hair.

The Skywhales, well, their existence is such a confirmed-denied fact by Muse that the aforementioned flying cetaceans are on the verge of becoming a full fledged meme.

Also, you can thank this (truly wonderful) community that this skywhale joke has took off.

Oh, but who am I to say anything, I'm new here, there are propel better suited than me to tell this things.
