Water No Hazard
« on: April 01, 2016, 04:49:23 am »
-Water will no longer cause damage to your ship!
-Any fires on your ship will be put out while you are in the water
-Your ship will move slower while you are in the water
-A blue meter will show up above your hull health. It will fill up over time. When it fills up all the way your crew will drown and your ship will sink.

I like all these ideas except the last one. Once the bar fills up the crew should don oxygen masks and then we can have submarine airships.

I think this is a pretty great idea, but if the engines go underwater they should stop. The meter idea is also really good, because these ship designs aren't really all that water tight.

I like the water meter, and the engines quitting, but think that your ship should not take damage or crew drown. Rather, your ship becomes waterlogged for a time and everything works more slowly.

As the ship gains weight it looses its up mobility, imagine a weighted pyra, could ram an empty galleon and make it spin like a squid on Claw.

When the meter rises up your vertical movement is reduced by that amount by %

there. Plus once you're out of the water for 5 seconds the meter rapidly goes down to imply the water is leaving the ship because gravity.

Apparently my post was too salty, so I'll just write it shorter.

Devs don't do maps. All map ideas are useless for the time being.

Edit: Actually I feel weird with my post deleted without even knowing what rule did I break. Could someone contact me about it perhaps?

Plant an idea in the devs' head and they will do it eventually. Remember how you can play any map now in practise mode? Just because can't be better immediately, doesn't mean it can't get better at a later time.

I had that bug where you can fall off the ship and walk around (while the game is frozen) on water hazard once, the water is actually completely insubstantial, its just only 1-2m deep.

Yup, can confirm.
Here's a ship from under water.

Same ship from above water.

So you can get ships stuck in water so they have to be rammed or pierced/exploded to kill?

They deleted a bunch of posts. No warnings, no "we're moving this to pit / closing the thread", no explanation given, nothing. Just deleting, without a word. I can just wonder whether someone did it on his/her own accord or just there were so many reports that they've just decided to delete a reported and reported-post-related chunk from the thread.

Am I the only person after Ceresbane and Schwalbe to have their posts deleted? :D
