Need Attendance Data on GoIO Competitive Gaming

Hi guys, it's been a while since I've posted on the forums. I'm writing an article online, and I was wondering if anyone had any attendance data for pro GoIO players, for some of the most popular tournaments (unspecified) or just data from the Fabrian Conclusion and Leviathan tournaments.

Wow those are some old tournaments. Are you looking for player participation, as in the number of teams? A great source for that would be the Sunday Community Skirmish.

That's a link to the GoIO SCS events that have already happened. You can get a very quick count of all the teams in the 'participants' column. Just remember that teams for this are 8 players, so 5 teams is 40 players.

For larger events, you'd have to go back and dig up their threads in the Community Events forum and check the sign up page or look for a posting of brackets and such.

Or you can go to the GoIO blog (on the GoIO homepage) and look through the old Squeaky Cog newsletter. A lot of them contain information about the number of teams, or at least a team roster.


If you're looking for players who watched these events, that's a little harder to track. You can always pop into the SCS this Sunday and look for yourself on the twitch channel. Usually it's mostly part of the teams who are playing, some of their clan mates, and maybe a few extra.

There's also a very detailed doc containing stats from SCS 1-27 (roughly half of all SCSes, up until shortly before the participation decline), in case you might need it.

Back when I was lending Logic an occasional hand with the SCS I put together a python script that pulled data from challonge on the SCS. I did a quick modification to it to get you the names for every team that has taken part:
