A legitimate Boarding suggestion!
« on: September 07, 2015, 06:40:49 am »
It's in the pit, because although it's legitimate, it's something the Devs may not agree with! 8)

I think, every time someone suggests boarding, we should stalk their steam profiles, find their most played games, and post feedback and suggestions to those games, for more air-ships to be added for airship combat and the possibility of boarding.

Sorry, this is extremely off topic but I have to know

Can you still illegitimately board another ship by jumping on to it or did they patch it out?

Because I've been meaning to try an experiment where you fit as many people as you possibly could onto one single ship.
Like I'm talking, a 4v4 map and every single one of the 32 players try to fit onto one ship (I think mobula would be the easiest).

You could add a few flares and pretend it's a mile high rave

Back on track..

You should all join my Club dedicated to hunting those who suggest boarding

Once we find a list of the most common games played by those who suggest boarding, we will gather in front of the main head quarters of the developers who's games had the most players that suggest boarding.
We will shout in protest that there be more airships while throwing Molotov cocktails hung with "Blimp-like" helium Balloons.
We will tear down their gates with Boarding hooks.
We will also shout promotional content for Guns of Icarus so that the Devs will allow this

If you jump on another ship you just go through it and tele back, but I believe you can land on a component hitbox before you're teleporred back.

So I randomly stalked 10 randomly selected "Boarding enthusiasts" to stalk, they all had three things in common!

1st, public profiles, which made stalking them much easier...
1st most played game: Team Fortress 2.
Another game in common on all 10: Gary's Mod!

So we should all make our profiles private and spam Gary's Mod forums and TF2 forums, demanding they add aerial ship to ship combat with airships in which crew can board each other and shoot each other in the face, because apparently, its needed for their games for some bizarre reason.

Gmodders could attempt that actually, but it would be difficult.

Tbh I wouldn't know anything about gmod, everything I've seen suggests it is troll friendly... So I never showed interest in it..

Funnily enough, someone showed that to a boarding suggest thread on steam, and he took offence when I mentioned the game looks like it favours boarding over naval combat, and the devs didn't listen to balance feedback about that after their first beta, and are pushing for a boarding fest. Which for a player looking for boarding, should be a bonus.. Lol

Lock it, and I begin requests on TF2 forums to add more airships to TF2. 8)
