Taunts
« on: August 04, 2015, 05:15:20 am »
So, another possible bad idea but regardless, I shall share.

Many moons ago, I encountered a free game known as "Loadout".

When you win a match, your character is displayed but there is a neat feature, You can press one of many buttons to make your self taunt the losers.

My suggestion.

So, we have the typical screen where everyone poses. I have an idea that if the captain selects a taunt from the character selection, his crew will perform the taunt in the victory screen.

Example:

You win a game.

The winning screen shows up and you are

Conga Dancing around the deck!

This is a bad idea.

What are your thoughts?

I like this idea

Maybe it could tie into the ship theme. ex - Party theme shows the crew with a table on deck eating the birthday cake

On a barely related note this gave me the idea that when one of the winning ships is dead at game end rather than being left out they should be shown hanging from parachutes

What are your thoughts?

Why is every bad idea I come up with praised for how good it is?  ???

*Pushes the sunglasses back onto Carn's face.*

You're doing it wrong. You put on the glasses before you finish the pun.

I don't think that the captain should dictate the poses of the entire crew, rather each crew member should be able to select a pose/gesture that they would like to perform in the victory screen. I would be willing to shell out a few dollars for an extra funky dance move in the victory screen.

And this is brilliant.

As long as it's the crew celebrating and having a good time as opposed to openly mocking the losers, I'm totally down.

That's not a taunt though. That's celebrating.

This was the origin of the idea, players in Loadout can buy taunts and play their own taunts on the winner screen. Their own individual taunts is also a good idea  :D
