The new flares are weedy and pathetic and distressingly not green. Also, from a gameplay perspective, it's hard to tell when you've been flared.

To provide a quick counterpoint, don't.  Please don't.

Old flares gave me a 30 fps performance hit playing on my laptop, and the new ones do not.  I don't know if this change was intentional or not, but please keep it.

I do feel pretty nostalgic for the old flares, it was quite fun at times to muse over them. That and the green was spectacular... Not that I know any of the techy bits and how they work but perhaps there's a compromise between frame rate, visual appeal and gameplay to be had by putting some more work in it?

I think we should bring back the radiant flares (before they had visible beams coming from them), but remove the eye-bleeding green flood. Or make it much subtler.

p.s. does anyone else miss how clean the old ui looked? The new one isn't as bad but still a far cry from what we had.

Apparently the flares have already been changed back on the dev app.

Clearly the campaign was a smashing success, I will commit sudoku in shame of my political failure.

The game would be so empty without the old flares. They always brought a tear to my eye, sometimes even temporary blindness.

If we can have the old flares, without that 5-flare Mobula troll clan blowing up my graphics card, that'd be great.

The new ones? I don't think I've even noticed we had new flares. Just figured that people weren't using them...
