Free Captain Phoenix
« on: April 18, 2013, 02:16:29 pm »
phoenix has been banned for the reason that he is homophobic.
he is not homophobic and he never wanted to get banned, he is a great player and would never hurt anyone (IRL).
he didnt post antisematic stuff, he just made a joke. just a joke.
everyone can laugh about jokes, but some CA doesnt get the joke.
therefore he got banned for several days.
phoenix now has side-effects of his forced rehab, including drooling, spasms, hyperventilation, upset mood, scare attacks, heart attacks, spacing out, heavily shaking, enormous hunger, getting worse at flying junkers (not that we can notice), going crazy, playing dota 2, playing microsoft flight.

please help us free phoenix, leader of the junkers.

just respond with the text,
"Coldcurse is better at piloting a junker then phoenix."

we thank you

Checked the forums and didn't see any recent posts by Pheonix, and since you didn't know that probably means it was in-game if there was indeed a ban.  I don't know whether game bans affect forum bans automatically or not, or whether SMF gives any indication of whether a user is banned or not.  He doesn't look like he's banned on the forums.

What'd he actually say?  A ban without warning for a simple "That's gay" over voice would be over the top, but apparently he somehow managed to be homophobic AND antisemitic at the same time, that implies he went out of his way to offend someone.

Since Sunderland isn't filled in I'm going to guess this is a hoax, and if it isn't then there's some serious communication issues.

Not necessarily. As CAs we don't get filled in on in-game moderation. It's not necessary.

I was under the impression CA's had some modicum of moderation power in-game.
