How bout not releasing incomplete assets
« on: July 08, 2015, 11:09:59 pm »
So CP is kind of annoying now because there is no capture indicator.

I mean sure the previous version wasn't perfect as it didn't show when an enemy ship was attempting to decap (it just looked like an ally guarding the point if you didnt check the map if the ally way within capzone)

But the literal nothing from the new UI kinda makes CP kinda confusing. Since there is no actual indication of rate of capture.

I know the UI needed an update, but goddamn we endured the bad one for months now, we could endure it a few months more until you could actually complete the new UI to the point of being fully functioning.

If I cared about CP wins right now I'd be very appalled. But from an observer's perspective thats pretty bad.

For some reason, it works on Crazy King, but not King of the Hill.

And for some reason king of the hill has a timer, that is not used. The new cp indicators do look nice, too bad they don't match the rest of the ui.

gg releasing a fix to the UI they said was a placeholder but the update is worse.

Also why'd they finally move steam notifications to the top right then move something REALLY important there?
And why is the score counter from assassins creed?

I dunno, but I wouldn't mind not seeing the score 24/7 when it can be expected to have changed very little from the last few seconds and will change very little in the next few.
But if it really is super important you can also set yourself to offline or actually be offline in steam, then you will get very few messages and love the score in all its glory.

What if you're using steam chat?

Then you'll have to live with it...
Firstly the steam overlay announcements were moved before the UI update and goes through a different process to get moved.
Secondly I prefer it to cover the score when anyone logs in or out, I've always found bottom right if screen annoying on any game..
Thirdly I have over 200 steam friends, my screen can get pretty active, and I never find it an issue to miss the score board a while. :)

I liked having the ammocount font bold and readable without squinting. I also liked it when stamina was in the corner and not in my face all the time.

That's weird, since the update I actually feel like I can see the stamina bar less - because it's more compact and small. I can never see the stamina bar just causally playing, and I have to actively look at it all the time if I am doing some stamina management. I find it pretty good the way it is.
