Escape doesn't cancel chat

Now I'm supposed to delete all my message using 'backspace' and then hit enter instead of just hitting escape then j/k/l and writing a new message. One of the most counter-intuitive things in new patch for me.

As an alternitive you can press "Ctrl + A" to select your entire chatbox message and then hit backspace to delete everything at once or do "Ctrl + X" to copy it for later.

Alternatively, you can simply click anywhere on the screen and it all goes away

Still, it requires you to grab a mouse with one hand (while having both of them on a keyboard). The escape button was a perfect solution.
