If you were to add a tooltip...
« on: November 19, 2014, 12:40:23 pm »
If you were to add a tooltip in game, what would it be?

Some suggestions first:

1. Try to keep the tooltip from confusing those who may be new to the game into trying something they probably shouldn't be doing
2. If you're going to write a tip based on a clan or individual try to keep the name out of the tip... This makes it more fun when you realize who the tip is talking about
3. Keep it clean...

Have fun everyone :))

Well, that's a fun way to poke fun at a community member. Now, hints and tips that poke fun at clans would be interesting.

I would totally get behind this... actually... if we were to add tooltips in... what would they be?

Squid moonshine ram is the most effective projectile against a Galleon.

Chute Vent is best used when your balloon is at 50% health.

One Spanner hit is enough to repair a broken item, the cool down timer just appears to not be moving.

Always man the aft guns, they are more powerful than any other gun.

When a member of Cake says Happy Birthday you should thank them in an attempt for free birthday attention.

It is mandatory to press 'Add time' everytime someone says 'ready up brah'

Mines do not distinguish between teams. They will eventually blow everyone up

To showboat your engineering skills it is well known that an extinguisher, chem spray and buff hammer will be all a ship needs to stay alive, let your fellow engineer know.

Don't like the recommended load out being offered to you? Then equip your pilot load out, it'll make everyone happy.

Four pilot crew is overpowered.

Rumours persist of a giant birthday cake, some even tell tales of ghost stories. Men and women heard cheering 'Happy Birthday!' In the wind.

If you rage quite early in the match because you picked Galleon when your ally suggested something else, you shall be haunted for the rest of eternity.

Engineers can also use guns.

Engineering tools have a cool down.

Avoid consumption of Zukasauce.

Teamwork is OP. Communicate with your teammates.

Fire mortar when you see red.

Guns reload automatically, you can be away from the gun while its reloading.

Just because it isn't your birthday doesn't mean you can't enjoy the day like it is.

Here's one that'd fix soooo many issues:

Every weapon does a certain type of damage. Piercing is great against armor, while Explosive does heavy damage to hull.

Your captain requesting you change your ammo type is not the same as your captain requesting you to switch to second gunner.

Unloading the dishwasher during a match is a bad idea.

Remember to not try too hard.

Nothing says happy birthday quite like an incendiary mine.

Lochnagar Gatling gun destroys hull armour in one shot.

Moonshine only works in novice matches. The rest of the time nothing happens.

Don't worry, we are working hard to patch how overpowered teamwork really can be.

How does the Phoenix Claw boost turning speed or damage engines? I don't know, but it does.

AI don't use Flares and Mine launchers, use this to focus your fire when you're stuck with one!

Dont try to force other pilots to ready up! They have an add time button to turn on Lobby Simulator.

When in a 32 people lobby do not be shocked if over half the lobby start singing Bohemian Rhapsody.

Consumption of Moonshine and other alcohol related products may result increased piloting performance. Side effects may include drunk shanties and wall rams.

Spyglass and Range finder are useable while at the helm but will remove a useful skill at the helm.

The mercantile guild are ruthless cutthroat a, not as friendly traders as you may assume, beware.

Don't use the harpoon. It does not do what you think it does.
