This might sound crazy, but Anglean Raiders might be a good spot due to the game type of resource race where the capture points could act as checkpoints (you've reached the checpoint once you have begun capturing). Everyone should be leaving the capture points before they can even be captured.  Only problem is there isn't too much in the way of debris to have to go around.

Honestly the easies way to handle it is to have a recognisable obstacle that you have to fly around like some debris/tower/pipes or one of those desert canyon pillars.

Race in Scrap: part of the course consists of dropping into the hidey hole, popping back up on the other side, and coming out. Firestone would love that.

I agree. There is a tight spot to squeeze through on canyon on grid D going from D3 to D2. There is a rock you can go under between D1 and D2.  I really want to find some obstacles in the far north of the map.

Today we were able to explore Canyon Ambush and come up with a 6 good checkpoints.  Your route between each checkpoint is up to you.  I made a video of the course and I am uploading it now.

how long will they go for?

we will get a feel for how many laps we should do after trying it out.

We just had our first real racing match with Sunderland, Sammy, and Connor. 

That is the most I have laughed while playing this game!

Here are some notes:
All Ai crew is no problem (as long as no one else has a buff engineer)
we died a lot!
one lap is long enough.
the small gap is very dangerous.
No shooting until after the first obstacle.
Tar gives too much of an advantage to the player in first.

If you die you are out of the race SO BE CAREFUL
I only survived one race and that is the one I won.

After I discovered a perpetual ramming machine (by PERHAPS getting stuck in Connor's Squid), that was loads of fun. Jace died once or twice while showing us around. The gap got really annoying. I would have won the first race if I hadn't crashed in it, but I won the second one by going through it at full throttle. Guns are essentially useless, since you want to be moonshining 95% of the time. A crew with real players would change that.

Anyways, that was just too amazing. I'd love to do it again in the future.

Oh yeah, and chute vent is pretty much a must for the bit after the gap. I lost loads of time lowering myself down there.

And I forgot to mention the funniest part: the game stopped midway through the first race because we kept on crashing and killing ourselves XD
