"Tap" it:  The act of repairing a non-broken component by hitting it with your mallet, pipe wrench, or purse, and then immediately returning to your previous endeavor.

i.e. "Hey, tap the balloon real quick, please."


"Camp (aka Tank)" it:  The act of staying next to a component, broken or otherwise, and hitting it with whatever tool is most suitable, in an attempt to prevent it from breaking and causing your game to explode; most typically for the Hull/Armor.

i.e.  "AHHHH CAMP THE HULL!"
or "TANK TANK TANK TANK TANK TANK"

"Spotting stick" = spyglass, as in "spotting sticks out!" (look for and spot enemies)

I know I was the OP for this thread, but nonetheless, I feel like adding two terms to this:

Gunker - A Junker with all Gatling Guns. (which is surprisingly effective)

Carronker - A Junker with all Light Carronades. (which can also be effective)

(If you ever see me piloting, I'l be using either one, or a metamidion sometimes.)

Among certain members, I believe Gunker is also known as Dakka. But five gatling is insufficient Dakka.

Murder time -  That time when the enemy's hull armor is down and it is possible to get away with murder.

Missed a kill-shot - There was a moment where we could have killed that other ship, but due to somebody's lack of skill it didn't happen.

Watch the Paint - Stop running into the scenery.

Chew off  <Component name> - Redirect Gatling fire at specified component because breaking it is more important than stripping hull armor at the moment.

The onlt peeve I've got is the whole hull thing.


Hull is meant to be the ship's HP.
But when people say hull, they mean armour.

But saying armour sounds dumb. But saying hull is kinda incorrect.

So what's the deal here?


Also I call a mantifish. A noob fish, because its a very very popular goldfish for noobs.

Same with the quad manti galleon. I call that noob galleon.
