I am going to open the brony can of worms. Anyone else out there perusing the forums and watching My Little Pony? Also, have a cabaret club poster.

Where are all the steampunk equestria pics? I'm sure someone will unload their massive collection upon us. :P

Anyways here, have a steampunk carrot.

Nastylady does some fantastic stuff, I have a Derpy and a Cheerilee pic on my good (broken) computer. So, any brony musicians worth mentioning?

I started watching MLP some time ago (about 6-7 month), due to a friend of mine being so so sweet towards me. He's helped me a lot and also liked MLP, and well, I also gave it a try, and I wasn't sorry at all xD

And he also sent me one of these

I am a fan of Warhammer 40k books and fluff. I became aware of MLP through cross over fan art. The whole immortal ruler with a sun motif betrayed by an immortal family member with a moon motif didn't hurt. I have since come to appreciate the show on its own merits, but my initial draw was "this is what would have happened if The Emperor and Horus decided to hug it out." Anyway this is one of the examples of of what I am talking about:

Speaking of grimdark and ponies meshing together, has anyone noticed the none-to-subtle dark undertones in MLP? The existence of Tartarus, ancient beast handlers, timber wolves, hydra, dragons, hell even gryphons. I mean, while most of the slice of life kid-friendly stuff is going on on-screen you just /know/ some little colt from the bayou is getting dragged away by a muck monster or chimera to be eaten.

Yeah, that's not at all something people haven't taken notice of.

Have you seen some of the fanfics? They give Lovecraft and Stephen King a run for their money sometimes.

In all seriousness though, I haven't read a fanfiction since Humans, and I never finished it. It was fantastic though.
