« on: March 23, 2013, 07:13:17 pm »
Hey everyone,

Just wanted to start a little topic for any feedback on the livestream anyone wants to post. These can be anything from technical improvements, to new games I should cast.

In case you dont have it the link is here: http://www.twitch.tv/qwerty2jam

Hope to get some good info :D

Cheers,

Qwerty

Had a lot of fun watching this morning. You've got the personality for this sort of thing, I think.

There's a couple of periods of time where the screen stays entirely blank, I think you took care of that near the end of your interview with Squash by actually playing the game while you talk. That could be pretty distracting, I'd imagine, so maybe you'll need someone to do that for you. Dunno.

Honestly I'd love some more close ups of the ships, I know that makes it harder to cover the course of the battle, but it can be dull looking at ships bobbing around from a distance.

Just my $0.02

Awesome, close ups, easy done. I did try to incorporate a few more this time around, I shall increase the quantity once again :D
I will look out for blank periods and try to fill them best I can :D

I watched the stream for the first time today, since I wasn't awake for the 1st Cogs or Fjords tournaments. I quite enjoyed it. I really like the wealth of information that's available during the match; all the ship health and player's names/nationalities. The announcing was amusing, too.

I agree with Squash about the close-ups, that was a lot of fun.

Congrats on the view count.

I don't think this really matters much.

I have been trying to cut it down, is it better then it was? If it needs to be toned down more then it really is a good point. I am trying to become a proffesional caster and some people WILL take offense :D

people who know me ingame knows im prone to swearing too, but im trying to tone it down too.

After being told countless time, im starting to hate myself when im swearing now, it was just a little advice, since its the official stream.

Although, I think at one point you said something like "Quack fucking quack". Which I thought was pretty awesome. So, there is a balance to be found!

I like the idea of the postgame talk in the cogs.

you could try to fiddle around with having some veteran players on the stream sometimes.

you and swallow both admitted you aren't the best players :p
so if you could take a veteran player on sometimes for a normal stream or so here and then. Could be fun to see if 3 guys commentating would work.

also if you want I can give you the date and times for scrimmages concerning the crows outside of the cogs.
we are working on playing some more training matches vs. the other clans.

Congrats!!!!  Love the live streams, I think 1,000 of those views are probably mine.

I may have mentioned something to Swallow already but I think it'd be awesome if you guys got some bio info about the teams and players to talk about during slow points in matches.  Like what time some people woke up to play, the story of how the clans began, the diversity of where people come from in the teams etc
