I'd super dig a fancy art theme with marble statues and columns and paintings and fancy structures/devices sitting on pedestals. Extra points for stuff falling over and breaking as the ships hull takes damage. I'd buy that for a dollar.

We need pattern decals for our balloons.

Like, polka dot.  Patterns could only be applied with a dye.  So, for example, red dye polka dots, the balloon would have red polka dots.

Also, brighter, more vibrant colors.  I demand a neon pink Galleon balloon.

Another suggestion: Make it so that themes either don't remove lights or include working lights (traveler and royal have them but they don't light up). Ships look weird and gloomy without lights on most maps imo

That's just your brightness, or potentially your monitor's calibration... (I use a custom calibration for color saturation, so meh.)

A Dollar is far to cheap and I don't think a ship made of marble could fly?

I think it would be nice to allow player-made cosmetics and have the community vote on favourites. It would be nice to have that community input into a game like this.

Leonardo Da Vinci's workshop theme (aka, Science and discovery). Telescopes, flying machine models, maps, geographical globes, drawings, scrolls, sextants, etc.

I like the idea of a Smuggler/Merchant/Cargo Runner theme. Crates lying around, maybe a cot or two, etc.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this so here is my idea:

The Breadbasket

Essentially it would be a farmers theme for your ship (an air fleet needs food as much as it needs oil) and it would have lots of potted plants/trees (we all know we love those orange trees on our ship) it would also have bushels oh hay, rain water troughs, flour mills (wind powered and the hand powered stone ones) and last but not least, a pet Sheep named Billy that provides the ship with nice wool and a tasty snack in dire situations.

I know it's probably a little thing to most and would likely take a lot of effort, but it really bugs me that the lamps and decorations hanging from the ship (especially in the Royal decoration package) do not ever move.

When the ship makes maneuvers, they should swing and sway a little bit. When they just remain static, they look silly and more cartoonish than the rest of the ship and detract from the overall look.

Additionally, I'd like to see more items like astrolabes or steampunk gear like barometers and maybe working windchimes.

I think it could all go a long way in taking the game beyond simple zerge-fest skirmish mode.
