My Ideas For An Awesome Adventure Mode

Towns
Landing Docks For Towns(Provides Protection unless bounty is on your head)
Job Board (Way to earn stuff)
Bounty Board (Way to earn gold)
Ship Yard (To buy or make a custom Ship and public market to buy other custom ships)
Bar (Somewhere to chat and trade with fellow people)
Barber/Beauty Saloon (customize your hair)
Wardrobe (Customize your look)
Lumber Mill (Somewhere to turn in natural Lumber To Processed Wood)
Barracks (A place to hire fellow AI or to look for people wanting to get gold and experience without repercussions)
for people who's ship has been destroyed or wants to get ahead of the game without losing anything

Character
Karma Status (What Clans/Races or Towns love or hate you)
War Status
Barter Status (Trade with the market at a higher price if you dont want to come to town, A ship will come to you)
Bounty Status (If someone has accepted the bounty to kill you or arrest you)
Job Status (Bounty to finish or NPC Jobs to finish)
Personal Stats (vision, agility, enigneer, Sailor, Gunner)
Item Upgrade Stats
Leader Board
Clan/Race board

Enviroment
Everybody in same game or organized in different games, PvE or PvP, PvP Safe or Both or Hardcore mode
(PvP anybody can be a target) (PvP Safe where you can test out your ship and skills without reprocussions)
(PvE No body can be killed by another person only Npcs and no wrongs doing)
(and both requires permission unless bounty is on head)

Monsters (Ground and Air) For Experience and Jobs
Fishing and Hunting (Jobs, Trading, Food)
Harvesting (Gold, Timber, Silver, Iron) For Experience, Building and Trading
Floating NPC's (Higher Pricing for Convenience)(Also Can Rob for free stuff but puts a bounty on your head)
Floating Pirates (For jobs or something to kill to gain Experience and gold)
Organized World(Different areas for different leveled people and ships and clans)
Highways(toll to be paid puts ships on wheels, Police is provided unless Bounty is on head)
Sail on Water(To Fish and to stay in a safe zone or you can engage in battle with long range missles)

Ship
Cargo Weight Capacity (effects speed of ship)
Radar Upgrade
Ammo Supply
Fleet Beacon/Highway (costs extra gold)
Food Rations (Effects mobility of Crew)
Extendable Claw(To grab natural Resources)
Harvester Claw(To extract natural Resources)
BBQ/Kitchen (To feed crew members and to take a break from the game)

Obviously This would be a lot of work so I cant expect it all to be added.
Now I know this game sounds like an MMO but i would gladly pay
59.99 for a game like this with an expansion once a year for Higher Levels/New Content
to avoid monthly subscription.

I would likewise shell out loads of money for this! These ideas are awesome.

However, I don't think there will be ground combat, as that really isn't what the game is about (taken from implied fighting ground monsters).

you're indeed making it more like an average MMORPG.
i like some ideas but others i dont think will work.

Floating pirates?
will those be tied to balloons?

Seems well thought out with a lot of good ideas.

Though who would put an airship on the highway when you can be flying?

Also these ships couldn't land on water: take the Galleon as an example. Aside from its unrealism anyway, the entire bottom deck is open and would just flood.

You say that but there are going to be factions that would need ships with an amphibious capability in order to get around. Take the Squid for instance, it's a catamaran for a very good reason. It's been stated that some ships currently in-game have been built with water in mind - we'll probably see more of that in Adventure mode.

Combat while running ships amphibiously? No idea - we'll just have to wait and see.

Chaladon and Anglean ships are capable of water landings. Both very similar in design and both nations benefit from water landing capability.

My desire for adventure mode...romanceable governors daughters! Then I can recreate my Pirates! career of raiding, violence, and polygamy!! :D

What don't cast me those judgmental eyes...play Fable games, marry all the women in the game and then relocate them to one city and tell me the Wife Wars carnage isn't freaken hilarious! Only did that in Fable and Pirates! Course all the female characters in those had no personality and romancing them was just as simple as flowers or fart sounds. Sigh...western game development is so inferior to Japan. They may rehash personalities and characters a billion times in Japan but at least they try to make the character meaningful!
