Chang-Hen was the first person ever who saw a skywhale. He also saw the very first skywhale being born out of a cloud.
Chang-Hen is now known as a honorable outcast and drunkard.

While the fixation of "Baker" is often used as joke, Anglean Raiders of this profession have a distinct love of hammers, using these specially made weapons of war many serve as combat engineers among Anglean fleets and raiding parties, many have also been known to use a torch as a weapon in pinch, however Anglean High Command stresses that doing so may or may not cause the device to explode, while very few cases have been reported, it may be out of pride, or rather the inability to explain how a hand torch exploded during use.

A company located in Iscadon, they specialise in making top quality drive engines for many airships. Haraden, the founder, wanted an engine that can give out maximum output with very little power and fuel.

A largish invertebrate that inhabits the Arashi Desert, it is most recognizable by its crystalline exoskeleton and it's large spikes that jut out of its back, while not necessarily hostile it is vastly territorial, however Sand Slugs tend to inhabit communes of 10-20 other slugs, this dis includes the young as they are born from eggs as the commune migrates from hunting ground to hunting ground, often times they will either form their own commune or if they arrive in their parent commune, often times it will be vastly smaller then when the young was born, hence the low local population. On rare occasions a mass of sand slugs can be found burrowing underground, why they do this or how they do so without compromising either the rock face or the sand dunes is still a mystery.

A metal alloy that was created during the Great War. It's molecular structure was 10x stronger than steel but can be mended and shaped much easier. The concentration of which metals to combine has been lost in time as the war destroyed many factories and killing of these who process the knowledge. Scraps can be found in any part of the world and it is highly sought after in many markets.

The Vangun was a colloquialism for a small band of soldiers, especially trained by Yesha for tactical close-quarters combat. They wore heavy armour plating and carried pistols. They would charge in on over-armoured Squids and defunct ships on suicide charges before boarding the target vessel. Their leader was Count Van der FitzOulsen. During a rather difficult confrontation with some Angleans, there stemmed The Legend of Van's Gun, cementing the nickname.

The dangerous and worst picks in contracts. These are the ones where established air captains hardly touch. They are usually taken by start up captains.

Blacken Smoke, a favorite amongst the best pilots, is a type of tar specially designed that when used with engines, lingers around in the air for far longer than standard tar does. The substance is hard to find, but when found often commands a high price. This substance is a favorite amongst the best pilots due to its difficult-to-use nature. However, with this difficulty comes also great perks. The tar does vastly larger amounts of damage to anyone caught inside, thus justifying the price and the time spent mastering the use of the substance.

The strongest man in all of Chaladon, The Bulkhead became a local cultural symbol after he allegedly lifted the bough of a crashed airship off of a house while rescuers saved the trapped occupants. Whether this myth is genuine is yet to be decided, as The Bulkhead is under strict orders not to engage in discussion with other nations for fear of his capture.

A compact air cannon that simply does as it is named, brush small objects away. It is mainly used by dock workers to clear the area of debris. But it can also be used as a weapon by loading the barrel with any projectile. A simple yet reliable piece of equipment, brushcannons are easy to produce and to maintain as its parts are interchangeable with common materials.

A local legend described only in the least tangible of senses. The anomaly is present within a few miles of the appropriately named bay at the far edge of Anglea's territory. Abandoned for centuries, compasses flair and spin, altimeters flay wildly, bells ring, ships creak, people scream.
It is chronicled as being "A shadow, dark as night. No mind can comprehend its majestic poignancy on the human psyche. Pure unbridled petrification of all sense and courage. It is a mar on the mind, a blemish on the brain."
Many crews have lost their lives to this mysterious force.

The Bomfer Stomper is a device supposedly devised by Sir Isaac Philips of Chaladon. Phillips purportedly created it after an explosion of a pipeline in a major refinery he was visiting revealed a cavern that contained relics from the Pre-war Era. The Bomfer Stomper uses a mixture of moonshine and kerosene to fuel its engines, which are connected to its small balloon. The Bomfer Stomper harnesses the engines to propel and create rotary force that allows a complex mechanical system to automatically fly around and fire an attached heavy carronade, which it gets the name from, using an abstract technological device to harness morse code patterns it receives from a radio to determine how it flies, and if it will fire its carronade. However, its use is limited do line-of-sight only, as it lacks a device to send feedback regarding the area surrounding it.
