When a powder monkey goes to a swabbie to try and improve his gun, the most common occurrence is arc lock, where the mount becomes fixed and the gun is unable to turn.

A campfire story told by many, the story differs from region to region, but each story has the basic plot. It is about a group of colonist traveling the lands until them come upon a plain near a forest. Finding the soil to be fertile, they settled in the region using the wood from the forest as building material. Unbeknownst to them something lurks deep in the dark forest, dark and evil. During night watches strange howls can be heard at odd times. While nothing has occurred since the howling started, several residents grow weary and decide to send out a hunting party to find the source. A group of 15 able bodied men went in at the bright dawn of the morning, but only 4 made it back at night with a warning, a warning to return back where they came from or else. Most of the villagers adhere to the warning and leave immediately while a handful stubbornly stay.

They next day though a heavy fog covers the almost empty town and the remaining occupants. The howling is heard inside the square which turns into mancanical laughter. Soon the laughter dies down, and all is silent until a calm voice comes out from seemingly from thin air.

"Tis your end."

The story usually ends with the storyteller goes quiet and a partner of his sneaks up behind the group and says the final line, ending with laughter.

The Electrobine, is a highly conductive, specialty wire. Designed by the great Anglean scientist, Bine, from scraps of old world tech and his own ingenuity.

A highly complicated set of formulas, the Pyrofracture Matrix was created to test the durability of different metal alloys under punishment of different types of fire before fracturing.

Dove-wing cannon: A cannon that shoots low power projectiles that make next to no noise when fired because they use winged projectiles launched by compression springs. Being slow, and significantly effected by wind forces, drag, firing ship's velocity, and numerous other environmental factors, they are notoriously difficult to aim accurately. However with a skilled gunner, they can deliver highly potent explosive charges that the other ship most certainly did not hear coming.

Flipside running
(Firstly Queso, that sounds awesome)

Flipside running is a particular move used by Mobula pilots. Through a complex system, utilizing hydrogen and luck, the mobula can be flown upside down. The advantage of this is that it can be used as a bomber.

The mobula should already flip upside down

West Chaladonian Turnpike, located in the city of Nysa it is the first track of a new high speed sport. Inspired by the win of Sir Issac Philips in the Rocket Race, the Turnpike is the first official mapped race track for Squid racing. Squid racing has been increasing its popularity in various regions of the world with makeshift tracks, but at the Turnpike each obstacle, straightaway, and turn has been specifically designed to optimise the Squid's performance. Competitions are held almost each weekend as dozen of racers flock to the city.

A region known for a high amount of Pirates and Privateers. Originally used as a desolate sea-region where factions would smuggle secret technology across due to lack of any inhabitable islands. First given name Sea of Devil's after Pirates started to crowd the region, catching wind of possible trade-routes to plunder. Renamed after most factions employed privateers to quell the amount of pirates in the area, creating a colossal mess of ships going after other ships.

Commonly used as a diversionary tactic among privateers, a large ship such as the Galleon or Mobula is disguised as a merchant vessel and meanders along a route set up for ambush.  Pirates think it easy prey, and when they get close, the disguise is ripped off, guns start firing, and the rest of the privateers emerge from the scenery to fight.

A curious coming of age custom, the birthday flare has become revered in Chaladon. The youth, stripping naked, ties flares to their limbs. Once this is done, they jump through a ring of fire which ignites the flares. Landing on the other side, they must complete a special dance. If they do complete it, they are considered to be of strong will and destined for glory. If they don't, everyone laughs as syup is poured on them.
