End Game Pose
« on: December 10, 2013, 03:11:31 am »
I just played the new patch, and I LOVE the end game screen where the crew is striking a pose on the deck of the ship. I was thinking it would be even nicer if I got to pick the pose my character is in. Heck I would pay good money to be standing in a particular way or doing a silly animation when the entire server can see me. Just one more option to the character customization screen and end game gloating can be even more fun.

I think a lot of players brought that up, and someone mentioned it to Howard during the dev game. I'd 110% support this idea, although i'm a little worried about how humiliated I'll feel once a whole crew starts twerking it after blasting my team out of the sky.

With a little player and wardrobe co-ordination you could probably pull off a decent Harlem Shake on the victory screen if character poses and animations could be picked...

This would actually be my main concern with choosable animations. Context changes perception.

On its own, the captain's stance looks like one of proud accomplishment at besting a worthy opponent. If one of the crew had a gloating animation, it could easily look like smug superiority instead (which it can do if you 5-0 an opponent too).

If it were possible to select your character pose, I believe the selection should not contain any silly or out if place poses. Better to keep it lorey.

Funny reading this. First thing I said to one of my members yesterday :

Me: "Oh look, new poses available in the store."
Adria: "WHERE?!?!?"
Me: "Jk, but who wouldn't pay money for that?"
Adria: "Fuzz it all Zill."

Long story short, sensible pose choices would be fun, even if they required a little $. Maybe base it on the dye pricing.

Sounds fair, but how much does "The Zuka Dance" pose cost?

I don't think there would be anything less dignified than the female Sayan Powerup Squat that they have now. That one is pretty undignified.

I don't mind too much having my opponent gyrate at my screen in a mocking manner. To the victor goes the spoils, and if they choose to use that moment to do the worm or stick their tongue out at me; well... that's their choice. They earned it.

Have any of you played Worms? That game has both a victory dance and victory anthem options. I think national anthems are public domain. Blaring a few notes of O Canada or Jerusalem at the end of a game would also be pretty cool.

The team wins title is overlapping the pose scene a bit. would it be possible to position it higher so the characters don't get blocked by it for better quality screenies?

It's great to see the team together in a pose shot. I personally don't mind if it stays as is, but polished up a little. Mainly the "blue/red team wins" text moved a bit.

Oh.. And come to think of it.. The two middle ones in the crew post need a slight move too becaus the one behind is getting blocked by the one in front middle.
