Oh dear Lord, I know of at least two competitive clans that use mines to great effect. The first being BFS and their Junkers and the second being Cake and their, well, whatever they can fit mines and flamers onto :P

And as to 3v3 all mines.. hit one and you trigger them all, it's such a pretty display, especially in all squid versions. if you are all packed tightly together, everyone blows up :P

3 on 3 mobbies with 5 mines on each ship = Zukagasm

Junkers in Minewars are iffy. Their survivability is a bit too high and they can stop better to avoid new mines. Did it once and it turned into an hour of junkers chasing each other. Was like a bunch of old guys in wheel chairs playing tag. Eventually one of them catches another then falls over and poops himself.

That actually looks like a fun battle, to be honest...

No seriously, i remember a 4v4 match with a bunch of mines across the new map, it was pretty interresting... well for a spire since they can navigate mines easy.

1. Mobula with four mine launchers and one harpoon
2. lay 20 mines
3. impale helpless junker
4. enjoy the show

I remember doing that achievement whilst banning the use of all nouns on my ship.
