To all my fellow airmen (and women)
« on: November 28, 2013, 08:23:55 am »
Hey all,

As I'm sitting here on this thanksgiving day here in the US, I wanted to take the time to thank everybody for the incredibly fun year I've had since actively playing this game. This community is the best gaming community I have ever come across, and I count many among you to be good friends (yes even you sunderland :P)...

I'd like to give thanks to Muse for creating this awesome game, and continuing to interact with their player base in a way that I've never seen in a developer.

To my fellow MM... Thanks so much for sticking by and bearing all of my "tactical bounces"... You've always got my back, and that's something I would never have imagined possible from an online community... I look forward to playing with all you throughout the next year.

I know this is just a US holiday (you Canadians always celebrating early geeze).... but I figured I should let you all know what I'm thankful for this thanksgiving day.

To Clear Skies!
~Shink

What exactly is the point of Thanksgiving? I heard it was about genocide.

No Gryphos, it's about slaughtering harmless birds for the mere purpose of consumption, a practice which humans consider to represent a season of thankfulness.

One civilization's Genocide is another civilization's real estate opportunity. Thanksgiving was invented by Lincoln during the civil war to bring the country together with rose tinted goggles of the past. On that note I am thankful we are only murdering each other in the thousands online where death isn't permanent and kinda fun.

You guys all realize that if we didn't have all our ancestors fighting and dying in WWI, we wouldn't be here flying airships and killing each other digitally.

So let us all take a moment to thank the crazy idiots who turned the world upside down a hundred years ago. Their lust for trench warfare, mustard gas, and zeppelins paved the way for the Guns of Icarus world we know and love. A world without WWI...its just too scary to think about. We wouldn't have GOIO, we wouldn't have had WWII, we wouldn't have had Lord of the Rings!! ZOMG!!! THE HORRORS!!!!

I'm thankful for whenever Shink's tactical bounces give me arc, because he never does.

J/K, <3 you Shink.
