I have done that a few times. If I can, I track down the captain who quit and PM him "Remember that match you just quit. We won it without you."

Getting a kill with a flame/ram/suicide/insane/crazy squid by completely disabling everything on the enemy ship, going in for the ram, only to bounce off of their armour and die, only to have the enemy die as they plummet to the earth without a balloon.

I'm just going to throw in

Playing as a Galleon against an Ifrit Fish (Blenderfish + Flamethrowers, I'm stealing the name from Chango) and somehow not getting fully wrecked due to the pilot having tar, a decent mine gunner, and a buff engineer buffing the hull and balloon when it gets back up to keep the Galleon from plummeting to doom fast.

Never seen a Galleon stay in the air without a balloon and no drogue chute for that long..
