A Better "Mute" button
« on: August 25, 2013, 01:20:57 pm »
In game I ran into this crew of loud and obnoxious...people, I clicked their names and clicked block and everything was at peace..BUT what if you are trying to listen to one person or your captain while in the lobby while other captains are voice chatting also? You shouldn't block them because blocking gets rid of all communication including Match Chat.
My idea is that you would have a option above or under "block player" That allows you to mute the player's voice so that you may hear who you want to hear without removing all options of communication from the other ships.

I'd like to hear other opinions on this.

Thank's for reading.

I think this could come in very helpful with players that play music or other stuff over their ingame voice or having recording issues with it. You can block out the noise, but still have the ability to communicate with them in text chat if there's need to.

For this specific purpose I would put a button in the game that prioritizes crew chat over lobby chat(and party chat over crew chat). Saves people the effort of muting 12 players.

True, I would like them to have that and singled out muting.
