As the mechanic was changed long ago and i made a pause since the release of the lj im not totally sure what fires actually does atm.
In the past it prevents u from using a gun but nowadays i often see pl using a burning gun. So what does fire actually do atm? Does it apply any effects to components besides the dmg?

It still prevents you from using guns, but only at 8+ stacks, rather than 1+.

You also can't extinguish fires while repair cooldown is going any more, giving you the choice of either repair but keep taking damage over time vs put out the fire but you're stuck without repairing for a cooldown cycle.

Fire also does more damage to balloons and to some extent armor than it used to but less to guns and engines.
