What shall we do with drunken Junker?
« on: June 29, 2013, 08:28:04 am »
Well... it can be a bit rusty, and definitely needed some few line, so.... let's give it a try? And any additions are welcome))
Based on song "What shall we do with drunken sailor"

What shall we do with drunken junker
what shall we do with drunken junker
what shall we do with drunken junker
Early in the morning

Way-hey up he's flying,
Way-hey up he's flying,
Way-hey up he's flying,
Early in the morning

(We'll) try to catch a friendly harpoon,
Try to catch a friendly harpoon,
Try to catch a friendly harpoon,
Early in the morning

Way-hey up he's flying,
Way-hey up he's flying,
Way-hey up he's flying,
Early in the morning

(We'll)Dive with the moonshine in the sandstorm
Dive with the moonshine in the sandstorm
Dive with the moonshine in the sandstorm
Early in the morning

Looking good so far, but you might want to switch the "he's" to "she's."

Ships are usually ladies.

And on the subject, "try to catch a friendly harpoon" is about 2 sillables short of the original "shave his belly with a rusty razor"

"Try to catch 'er with a friendly harpoon" fits the bill, methinks.
