That and I have 4 cats, 1 dog and 2 chinchillas.  I live in animal dander hell.   And the male chinchilla Grrr keeps trying to jump my hand when I pet him

I am half the pet owner you are Lord Dick Tim. I have two cats and one Chinchilla. More accuratly my wife has two cats and a Chinchilla who live in the same house as me. The chinchilla hates me because 1) I am a boy and clearly her inferior, 2) I am not as forthcoming with the nuts and raisins as my wife is. On two occasions the Chinchilla has drawn blood when I have let my hand get too close to the cage. Also the chinchilla insists on making as much noise as possible in the middle of the night. While my wife is a heavy sleeper I am not. The Chinchilla despises me and the feeling is mutual.
