12.16.13 Hotfix Release Notes

We had a hotfix deployed (build 403) at 6AM EST! Changes include:

- "Black screen" bug on returning from matches should be fixed
- Spawn adjustments. Initial-spawn and single-use spawn points work as intended now. There are also corresponding data changes in pursuit of awkm's master plan.
- Fixed a memory leak (which contributed to out-of-memory crash reports)
- Fixed an exception during equipment load that could leave you unable to use any tool or get on helm/gun
- Fixed some exceptions during match end screen (may have caused stability problems there)
- Fixed a bug with reconnection that would cause the message "login failed: no valid session"
- Fixed some leaking explosion/audio effects
- Fixed a bug that could cause an AI crewmember to never replace a missing human, if they left during loading
- Fixed bugged reticle after getting off the Lumberjack
- Fixed a networking bug that would cause severe "lag spikes" in the face of minor packet loss
- Fixed a bug that could cause friend list to disappear

Any ETA on the stuck-mouse bug when using the steam overlay? If I use it while waiting for a game the mouse will freeze on its axis when going ingame. Only way to go around it is to restart the game and reconnect.

Tonnyl: Unfortunately I do not have an ETA for you.  There's some strange interaction between Unity and the Steam overlay that we have had difficulty reproducing here in the past.  It wouldn't hurt to send us your logs as well if you haven't already.

I had this same bug earlier. Will send a log. Am also having a bug where I can't hear engine noises as captain (possibly other classes as well, though I've not yet noticed). Very annoying - anybody else suffering from this?

...I can't hear engine noises... anybody else suffering from this?

I was on a junker where this happened a few hours ago.  The captain pointed it out and I went up to the engines to check and it was happening for me as well, so we both couldn't hear the engines.  I totally forgot about it until you mentioned it.

I really hope this has fixed the problem that's plagued me for eons now! Will post if it hasn't gone away.

I really hope this has fixed the problem that's plagued me for eons now! Will post if it hasn't gone away.

I used to have lag spikes every 10 minutes. Now it's every 2 hours. Thanks Muse!

A small client patch, version 1.3.4 (404) was just released.

- Fixes missing Junker engine sounds
- Fixes unpredictably distorted spotting brackets when zoomed in
