The Wall of Jericho with two galleons in company blockaded the Yeshan trade ships in dock, full armament at their disposal, aimed at to do more than disable. "By order of the DLTC cease and desist, lest we tear your ships asunder."
--Saloon--
Paradox was in his formal attire, Jen and John followed behind him along with a detachment of Dandy Lions security force. Upon entrance four men stayed, two on each side of the doors.
"Mrs. Zhao, Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and heard we were under hostile invasion. I don't know if you know how things work in this city, but all trading is either handled by the DLTC directly or people pay for the privilege to use our docks. If you think I'll let you establish that big of a trade route in my town without getting a cut, you're dead wrong. I've already talked to the council, and they've agreed to let me take any action necessary. Now you have an important decision to make: I take forty percent of all goods exported here... or you're gonna watch your ships burn and we both get zero."
John chimed in, "and that's him being generous..."
Paradox smiled and lit his cigar.
She stood up obviously seething, pulled a derringer on Papa.
The two guards armed and cocked their weapons, John and Jen pulled out their volcanics in response.
Ny ran behind Papa and met his neck with a knife.
Papa put his hand to his ear, "Jericho, can you hear me?"
"Yes sir."
"Prepare to fire..."
Ny dropped the knife, Bdr coerced the gun from his mother.
Paradox stood up and was heading out...
"Wait! Fine, we'll do it." Liu said reluctantly.
Paradox flicked his cigar on the ground and stamped it on his way out.
"Good doing business with you."
His posse followed behind him.
Zill and Yiski sat shaking their heads at each other
Fuckin' hate that guy sometimes.
