Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Triple barreled heavy gatling

There was a super gatling in the first GoI so it would be nice to see the small gatling's big sister in GoIO. Plus I like the gatling - it is fun to shoot.

I heard they are ditching the new mine-gun thing in the next patch and are instead going to add a big party popper and some disco lights that take up a light gun slot, and a giant disco ball that takes up a heavy gun slot. And maybe some giant speakers too.

Hmm... I'm thinking a hoplite airship crew getting very angry over a cargo of corn... how to make this work...

Perhaps a similar thing could be started on the gallery forum (if there is the interest) where once a week or more, a theme using is picked using some random words and then people have to make some quick fanart based on those words. It might even encourage people to draw who might otherwise not give it a try.

And I bet there would be some hilarious stuff too with the right mix of random words.

It could just be a row of buttons at the bottom of the ship screen (A, B, C, D). So you'd just click them to switch to a different set up.

i'll never forgive lenzs for putting THAT drawing as the logo. . . but i have to admit i got a good laugh seeing it in this fan art. . . but seriously who puts a "evil lawyer cow" as a logo for beer *Shakes fist at lenz*. . .

I never noticed it was a cow until I looked closely at the reference screenshot I took so I could redraw it. I'm curious as to the background behind the "brand" design. =P

Just hold on tight when performing tight turns!

That looks great.

I sort of picture a sushi squid having a balloon that looks like one of those long paper sushi lanterns, with additional lanterns all over it.

Maybe with a slab of semi raw fish (or SKY WHALE) on top of the balloon. =P

Nothing wrong with a little corporate branding according to the citizens of Sylka!

So advertising has existed even as far back as ancient rome. I'm sure the people in Guns of Icarus are familiar with it, but what would they advertise...

I can see what you're saying and I think it would be nice to see more body types but besides that I actually think the GoI character art is actually really good.

I've been very grateful not to see scantily clad bikini wearing gunners or engineers or any other ridiculous stuff you see in other games. There's no boob or thong armour or any of that. My characters actually look good and well dressed - they are not someone elses fetish. A lot of other games cannot say the same.

Infact one of my favourite outfits is the default gunner/engineer/pilot blouse and waistcoat. It looks really fashionable.

That is one interesting looking Pyramidion! Is this the start of novelty lifting balloons in the GoI world?

Ahh, a "ur doin' it wrong" thread. I have noticed a bit more vitriol flying around in game lately about the "proper way to play" compared to the past. Well, I have noticed more vitriol in the lobby and in game generally. I don't know if this is because of the recent influx of players.

While I accept that the 2 engineer/1 gunner thing is an efficient set up, it's not the only way to play. I'd rather the general community not become some unfriendly super competitive environment like LoL or whatever, and if you step outside of the accepted crew set up, you get screamed at by everyone.

On the other hand it would be nice if the gunner class was altered a little to make it a more balanced choice in comparison to engineer. It seems odd that on an airship full of guns, the general view is you should take more engineers than gunners.
