Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Ship Cosmetics Wishlist

Clearly ships need Duckbills.

It's obvious in a post apocalyptic airship driven era, duckbills would be high fashion on any traiding, raiding or military vessel.

Chem spray should move to a 4 second cool down and 25 second duration with 2 stacks removed.

I think you'll take a break, but I don't think you'll be gone for long.

Who else will be able to do the engineering of three crew on a squid if you leave?

Dark matter.

I agree, this league should happen.

Could use a few more hard points for weapons but it looks awesome.

When can I start flying one?

General Discussion / Re: Leave Counter

Muse does need to get their priorities straight and improve the game and fix problems instead of adding anti social features.

Thus isn't an anti social feature. It's a meaningless number that makes people feel self conscious if they don't finish a match thereby discouraging rage quitting.

It aims to promote a better community. If anyone feels so terrible about what the number on their leave count is, I'm sure if you contact Muse they'd help.

I actually am a proponent and always have been of the leave count. Whether it's due to lag, ragequits, real life or anything else it gives a good idea to players the likelihood you'll leave their match.

Furthermore it stigmatizes leaving and reduces the amount of times a player would intentionally leave matches for fear of being labled s rage quitter.

At the end of the day it's a meaningless number, but I know for certain it's one of several things that have reduced rage quits, and the fact that we're even having this conversation proves that many peoplr (including myself) care about said meaningless number and are therefore less inclined to leave a match unless they have to.

I have no clue who if anyone agrees with me but I always enjoyed best of ones.

Well not always... The suspense before matches was sickening but victories were euphoric.  Overall having that much resting on every match made everything more exciting and mental toughness just as important as skill.

Better to watch too in my opinion and of course less of a time commitment for teams.

Obviously one minor mistake can easily cost a match however your opponent suffers from the same disadvantage.

I like the randomness. I think teams should not be allowed to avoid a map. They'll know weeks in advance what they're playing on and have adequate time to prep.

We should allow ties. .4 for each team.

Q&A / Re: A few questions
« on: April 07, 2014, 10:55:31 pm »
In my opinion there are 2 optimal ammos for hwacha: heavy and burst.  If at long range the former has the highest dps at close range the latter.

First of all I'm a Duck, not the Ducks.  I play with them but in no way speak for them.

Secondly the realism contention is a straw man argument that honestly is getting old.

Thirdly I wasn't arguing before with any if your content, just contending that your opening statement was polarizing and not conducive to debate. It seemed your intentions were not purely related to positive gameplay change based on your initial tone.

Fly like a fish.

You can bifecta a flamer with the carro and swivel gattling into Manticore.

Compass autospotting doesn't exist. It was something in Dev app when the compass change happened but never made it into production.

The hull is directly next to the right gun. It would hardly ever need to stop shooting, the pilot could easily take chem spray as a tool and the left gun would never stop shooting.

The goldfish is so agile it could fight at any range it wanted, easily outclassing every ship in the game with greater firepower other than the port side of a Galleon and out fly anything other than a squid (which probably wouldn't be an issue with 3 disabling guns and the ability to ram).

Double Artemis hwacha is more than enough DPs to break through armor and kill while the opponent is completely disabled.

I don't think th there's a way I could be convinced a trifecta goldfish would be balanced.  If not for the ease in removing their front gun and keeping it down, the Goldie would be one of the best ships in the game. If a blender fish arrives unannounced, the fight is over in the goldfishes favor since no escape is possible.

I think people are under valuing the benefit of maneuverability paired with the ability to deny thayvof your opponent.
