The Lounge / Maneuvering Community Guide!
« on: April 04, 2015, 07:13:55 pm »
Lot's of things are important to learn to be a good captain, but proper maneuvering is one of the most important *What's the point of knowing gun arcs if you can't keep them in arc? Or ramming into walls constantly?*

It is a community guide after all, so all of you can join in and help, I've got a short introduction video, and links to how you can help in the description.

Here's the video

Currently I'm working on a guide for how to properly shift your acceleration up and down to move effectively.

As title says.

Basically post different ways to "Politely" tell your level 3 engineer to "get on the fuckin hull" or "shoot the balloon you fail of a multi-cellular organism."

I'll start.

One INQUIRES If you have any respectable sense at this moment left to gather strength within our force and repair the balloon before a... reportive action is taken?

1. Saying "Happy Birthday!" at the end of the match and someone replying with "Thank you!".

Gameplay / HUD elements on Helm
« on: March 27, 2015, 02:04:33 pm »
Now, yes, it's exactly as it sounds: Some indicators for things going on in your ship.
Now, I'm not talking anything big, I mean something that would fit into the world. A small gritty light that'd flicker on when your engines are fully healed and moving at max speed, a Dusty compass tied to the bar that held up your acceleration disk, and maybe even a small map of... well, the map you're on, but without the ships or anything. Just an average map.

I'm thinking about this mainly as a Roleplay thing. Preferably you could turn off your UI map and compass and the in-game helm map and compass would be appear. Also an option to have the engine light of your helm. As I enjoy having the feeling of almost being in the game I'm playing, if I usually like to imagine it being real.

Another great thing would be a gear-clock thing on empty walls on your ship *In places like the Junker or Galleon basement* that showed the current notch your captain is on with the acceleration wheel.

Again, all of these could be turned off.

World / One thing
« on: March 27, 2015, 09:15:55 am »
This is something I've noticed.
So, when guns are nearly broken, you hear an electric, fizzy escaping/discharging sounds. This implies they use electricity, which they obviously do.

However, I've noticed one thing:

The Pyramidion doesn't have a power source.
It's the only ship that doesn't appear to have anything generating power.

Galleon: Has a big generator looking thing in it's main engine room.
Spire: Just look at the inside walls.
Goldfish: The giant contraptions in the spawn and tanks and engines near the hull.
Mobula: Generator looking thing behind you when you spawn, and the thing that encompasses the Main Engine.
Squid: Inside of the hull has many contraptions.
Junker: The huge diesel tank on the right side and all the things you see when you enter the basement.

What black magic does it use?

Feedback and Suggestions / New Pilot Tool
« on: March 26, 2015, 11:21:46 am »
This is something that just hit me, and I realized how extremely brilliant it is.

So, without further ado, I present my pilot tool idea: Chaff Pods.

Just as it sounds, Scroll to the Chaff Pod tool equipped (I also think this should be a tool you don't need on-helm, but only Captains can activate it) and press M1. This'll cause damage to your engines, and make them shoot out a tons of metal strips. This could make Rockets/Rocket projectiles turn away from the cloud, thus making any ships inside it safe from Projectiles like rockets.

Or it could just make any Rocket Projectiles explode on contact.

Thoughts?
