The Lounge / Re: Opposite of Bragging Thread

Came back to my first match perhaps within over a month or so. I screwed up the entire match due to the fact I didn't realize my mouse sensitivity was set to zero, then it was set to max, and then I leveled it out. Amidst the lag of Paritan Rumble, we tried, but the pyra nerf is too great, we died and lost in that match.

(On the upside, we had a 4v4 DM and actually won that with a metamidion (despite my initial thoughts of it being dead from the hull nerf).)

The Lounge / Re: The game you mostly play

I've been mostly playing loads of Need For Speed World (I grew up on Need For Speed Underground 2, so its only natural), alongside some TrackMania United.

I would be playing GoIO, but unfortunately my laptop has a weird sound issue with the game now whenever I want to play it (there is no sound once I open it up). Been meaning to seek help in that regard.

I actually support this idea, since the function keys on my laptop are multi-functional and I can't use them in-game regardless.

To add to my NPC listing, you can say that I did have a run in with some Yeshans and Baronies a while back (got a bounty on my head in their territories because of some explosion or another).

World / Re: What faction will you fight for?

I'd probably fight for the Mercantile Guild. Just something about them seems to attract me. It's not so much that wealth and power that attracts me, I guess it's more so their vast widespread market, seeing as they have just about anything (or at least, someone has something anyway).

My outfit on my character also seems to suit the Guild I suppose (might buy me something else in the future though if you believe otherwise).
White and gold are the colours of the merc guild, we are often seen as ruthless operatives yet I prefer the term "Teladi profitss" whenever something "ruthless is done ;)
Hmm, a bit more posh to the fashion then, eh?

I'l see if I can get something worked on then. :P

Not so much posh, just the colours :)

Personally (this is just my imagination not actual lore.) I see the Mercantile Guild being something closer to a Mafia.. Traders, craftsman and businessmen all in the interest of earning money, but if push comes to shove they're ready with a small army and the money to fund it. :)
Hmm, well, my current getup for the most part is a rustic/bronze color scheme (hence my name), but I might make an effort to adorn something in those colors (though I'l have to check if I have those dyes in my inventory first).

I too was thinking of them as a Mafia actually (the co-op trailer got me thinking that), seeing as how they've got the firearms and wealth to pull it off.

What we really need for the game are pins (one for each faction, with the faction's colors and logo), so we can briefly distinguish someone from a faction (same goes for faction decals on airships).

I'l admit I've never been one who's keen on boardgames (Monopoly, Scrabble, card games, and Clue are about as far as I've gotten on such a thing). However, I would be more than willing to throw in my likeness if you want. Would you wish for me to PM you about this, or simply post the info here?

FOR THE TANK!

Sounds like a pretty garden-variety plan to play GoIO. You just messed up the last one:

10) Check the forum inbetween matches because you want to get involved with what's happening on the forum! :P

Not sure if anyone's seen this yet but...

Was playing a round of Raid on Refinery, zoomed in, and saw this little hidden floating beauty. It looks like the Goldfish and Junker had a baby, with a splash of an actual real life Airship in it.

Its the ship model for The Icarus

From Muses earlier game, Flight of the Icarus (previously Guns of Icarus)

I know about the Icarus, even played the game. But it looks a lot different from the actualy Icarus, which had 1 zeppelin, and was shaped like a rigid and non rigid airship, with it's actual body looking like the Galleon (Sorta), plus the Icarus didn't have a tail engine.

Just sayin :3
I remember we had a discussion about this before

https://gunsoficarus.com/community/forum/index.php/topic,507.msg7827.html#msg7827
Read the thread, now I'm just curious: LordFunPants mentioned there being a giant gun the size of a Junker mounted on this beast, and he said it existed in-game. Anyone care to mention where this massive cannon might be? :)

Take To The Skies has been on my iPod for 2 weeks now, can't get enough of it!

(On the plus side, done exams for now, so I can play more GoIO! :D)

Talking about fresh players, (I decided to call them fresh players instead of swabbies, powder monkeys, novices, noobs, idiots, *******, and *&$%$@*$#$#@!s)

I was on a Crazy King with bunch of Fresh players, trying to explain how Crazy King works. Here are some golden, if not funny, ones.

Me: One spire and two pyres, peace of cake, bring flame on our junker.
*Fresh Cpt pairs flame with flak. One of our ally switches to squid*
Me: Flame pairs terribly with flak. And that squid...
*Fresh Cpt presses ready*
Me: ADD TIME! ADD TIME!
*3,2,1 match start*

We are playing, winning every engagements, but losing all the points.
Me: We need to get to the next point at around 60 or 30.
*Fresh Cpt heads to point A on refinery. Runs into incoming structures.*

Pyra chasing us.
Me: Use kero to out run 'em or claw turn to engage!
Fresh Cpt: What's Kero?
Pyra shoots us. Repairing hull. Pyra catches up, we kill it with flame.
Me: Do you kero or claw?
Fresh Cpt: no
Me: What did you bring?
Fresh Cpt: spyglass, rangefinder and tar.

Near the end of the game.
Enemy gunner: I'm the only one on our ship!
Fresh Cpt: Been there. My sympathies.
Me: No sympathies, you are our enemy.

One of our captain leaves (I hate quitter captains, but that's not relevant right now.)
Fresh gunner: My captain left, I'm the only one left.
Me: Drive! go to cap points and cap!
Fresh gunner: I'm trying.
Me: Actually, you are a galleon. Shit.

All the Freshies are complaining about Crazy King.
Freshy: This game mode is shit.
Me: Not shitty, just difficult.
Me: A really unique game mode
Me: that adds to goo's focus on teamwork
Me: and communication
Me: and typing at speed of light.
I typed the whole reply in the time it took points to go from 590 to 600.

Not the funniest quotes around, but I typed a lot that game, and I wanted to mention.
Fresh players, so shit on crazy king.
I feel your pain, was once on a Mobula on Dunes where the captain was using the claw ALL THE TIME! I was repairing engines every second in fear someone would kill us (fortunately though our pilot opted for a long-rage loadout, so we were rarely close to the enemy fire, and we surprisingly won that match too).
