Because we're unsatisfied idiots.

Can we agree to not bring politics into the Pit?

I'll have to go with genocide, a lot of people make bad jokes, but those tend to only damage the immediate area, and usually not for long.

What is the worst joke?

73 Years Later

A rumble is heard as Carn unhooks himself from the generator in the basement.  Going upstairs he finds the laboratory in cobwebs with the half finished skeletons of giant robots littering the place.  He also sees several pods marked Cryogenic.

Giving the machine a firm knock he declares,

"Alright wake up guys, I powered this place for 73 years like Skymonger asked, so wake up or I start to do things."

The Button is not pleased at being ignored.  The button teleports 50 accountants from the IRS to audit Shaded and his Pit.

Carn, horrified, repeatedly pushes the button in the van hope that it will help Shaded.

"You ok there buddy?"

A scathing words often employed by seasoned gunners, engineers, and pilots when another member of the crew cannot seem to do their job correctly.

Threading the needle

It drew fromestablished lore in the comic's which was heavily entrenched in the psyche's of it's fanbase.  Along with the teasers at the endings which link them all together.

How often are derailed threads actually banished to the Pit?

I'm pretty sure that the Matrix did that.

What went wrong in the Matrix series?

Because in most jobs you either fill a basic menial job, or one which requires special knowledge.

When was the economy NOT like that?

Because you were fooled by academia and pop culture to think that it was going to be better.

Why doesn't modern education properly prepare students for work?

Not sure, haven't taken any philosophy classes yet.

Why do people (who aren't already rich) major in Philosophy?

The button, in it's smugness, opens a pit below Shaded to make it's lording even better.

Carn makes a crude crown and tosses it to Shaded.

"Congrats! Your a Pit Lord!"

Carn falls down laughing into the Pit, unable to press the button.

I have all the physical grace of a bear, so no.

If you were a animal, what would you be and why?
