Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Gender-neutral accessories
« on: July 22, 2014, 02:05:45 pm »
I don't think even the greenest thing in the game is as shiny neon green as Clan clan members are...  :P

That means we're doing it right!  ;)

Except my hair.  My poor, dull, drab hair.  Sure, I can put on a spring green hat, but now that I know boys can have spring green hair and I can't, I am sad and feel left out.

Dude... if I could dye my gunner's mohawk spring green.... That would be so amazing.

Because spring green is best green and it would match all my outfits!  Clan Clan members are like human beacon flares.

OH!  Also!  Dyeable hair for women!  Why do I have to be a man to have spring green hair?
We can't dye hair either. Trust me, i've tried.

The Khovansky hair can be dyed spring green (or any other color).  I tested it yesterday.  I'm considering male avatars just for the ability to have spring green hair.  This is monstrously unfair.  xD

Q&A / Map scales
« on: July 21, 2014, 07:14:24 pm »
Has anyone figured out the scales of the different maps?  Pretty much everyone knows that one square in Dunes is 1km, but what about the other maps?

This leads me to a suggestion -- maybe have it so one square always equals 1km, but scale the sizes of the squares to correlate with the map sizes.  The squares seem fairly useless as a tool if they don't correlate with real numbers in any meaningful way.

Gameplay / Re: Balance ideas for Pyramidion and Junker
« on: July 21, 2014, 06:43:40 pm »
I like how easy the pyramidion is to engineer on so new players can get the basics down and enjoy playing while they learn without screwing everything up royally.  I'm not much of a pilot, but when I have a crew of new players I take comfort in flying a pyra and knowing that things will probably be sort of okay.  I think it's important to have a ship that's easier for new people to cut their teeth on before moving on to something more challenging to engineer on.

I also like the idea of buffing other ships rather than nerfing the pyra.  Adding more sweet spots, making squid/goldfish engines more accessible, etc.

I'm starting to wonder if people have missed why I put that picture up there ;)

I saw the typo and understood why.  Don't worry.

No, there's actually a thing though.  I get notifications that Realdiculous is playing it.  I want to play it too!  WHAT IS IT EVEN

I can't imagine with all the hours you put in playing Guns that you have time to draw, too XD
these are pretty good!  you should definitely color them.  your character looks wild with the spring green.

I did these all while waiting in lobbies.  I did my engineer too but haven't posted it yet.  Should do that.

Definitely needs more spring green.

This sounds like a bug.  When I join an in-progress lobby, it takes me to the lobby first so I can view the ships, loadouts, and players currently on the ship so I can adjust my loadout accordingly.

WHICH IS WHY THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR SECOND PILOTS JOINING MID-MATCH AND CLAIMING IN-PROGRESS AS A REASON :P

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: "I can't hear you" icon
« on: July 20, 2014, 07:21:59 pm »
I would really like this.  I have a friend who is generally listening to music while gaming and can't hear people and he clearly has "(no audio)" next to his name on Steam so people will immediately know that he can't hear them and react accordingly.  It is INCREDIBLY frustrating to hold up a whole lobby of people who are ready while you try to tell someone repeatedly "please don't bring two fire suppression tools and a buff hammer" only to find they aren't listening to you at all.

One of the major draws of this game for me (and many others) is that it is really based around teamwork and communication.  When you remove that element, you just get a disorganized mob of people on airships shooting guns at random targets and dying unnecessarily.

I would also equip bread on my characters.  +1

need food slot to equip sandwiches.  After all that moonshine, you need something to sober up!

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Display friendly ships option?
« on: July 20, 2014, 07:13:43 pm »
I'm in favor of this, especially since spotting doesn't always work very well.  There are times when ships are seemingly just NEAR a cloud, extremely visible, not shrouded at all, and I can't spot them, so I assume they're friendly (especially because the lighting often makes it impossible to tell the difference between red and blue flags).  I mean, I guess there's the map, but when things are hectic it would be cool to just be able to directly look at the ship and know it's friendly rather than spamclicking with spyglass equipped until the spot finally works (or doesn't).

Also, I have an impaired ability to mentally spatially rotate things, so I can have a hard time using the map to tell if I'm pointed at a friendly or an enemy.  Even harder if there are two ships in close proximity.
