Aerodrome mumble details will be sent via PMs to all the CEOs who registered.

Matches will start going up around 30 minutes prior event. The refs will be updated if need be.  Passwords will be sent out along with the mumble in messages via the forums here. Due to the limitations on ref staff, not all of the matches may be ready from the start. I will try to start and hold lobbies so technically I myself will be able to be joined onto if I am holding a match open for you.

Those of you who stated you'd be willing to Merc on your signups. Please select now the matches you want to merc in. You can select more than one. Heck you could select all of them. There will be no limits on the number of matches you can play. In fact it would be a great help if you could fill as we do have some rather vacant matches.

Keep in mind, these matches will be under Cargo Carrier rules. So in some ways, consider this an opportunity to practice the ruleset in preparation for following weeks.

Community Events / Aerodrome: TMW Week 3 Rival Contracts (Red Spawn)
« on: July 29, 2015, 07:42:49 pm »

Alright Rivals, your turn to select your matches for this weekend. We'll do this the same way we did it for prior weeks and keep the less filled matches in the list and just merc them out. If there is a match that doesn't get filled, I think we will run a Brickamania Battle Royal match like we did last time. Harpoons and mines is a tantalizing idea.

There will be weekly prizes so be sure to keep track of your teammate names in case you win. However for this signup, all I need is your company name and CEO. Early Reg folks just need to enter their match selection. Example from the early registration thread:

Company: Zukasauce Inc
Mission Statement: "To spread Zuka's love through all the world via his sauce."
Base of Operations: Starostrog, Guild
Logo (Optional): <Artistic Zuka Sultry Grin image>
CEO: Zuka
Steam ID, In game Name: Zuka2016, Zukamania

If you registered on week 1 or pre-reg, you don't need to list all this. Now because this is the official signup week. I need you to add one more bit of vital information...your match choice.

So reply with:

Contract Requested: <Insert map name here>

Then also if you could state if you are willing to mercenary for other matches, that would help a lot too. Basically means your official match counts but the others will be bonus battles to help fill matches. So "Willing to Merc: Yes/No"

Alright, thats it. Again, there is no long term commitment with this event. Take contracts as often or as seldom as you like. Twitch streaming info will be posted later, mumble info and passwords will be sent out via pm to new teams.

Remember, all point payouts are split between ships on your team.

Week Three Rival Contracts:

Contract 1: One Man's Propaganda...
Map: Canyon Ambush
Cargo: Propaganda
Payout: 300

Is another man's toilet paper. But who are we to judge? Money to be made and we don't really care how it is done. Just that our rivals take a loss on this deal.

Get on into those canyons and cut off that convoy before it reaches Tiesha.

Contract 2: Guns For Peace
Map: Fight Over Firnfeld
Cargo: Guns
Payout: 300

This one has a higher risk factor with the local gangs of Firnfeld starting to flex their muscles. Word is there is a contract open to run some guns up from Faberia to Qinqaachi. Despite the risk, it is a lucrative deal. One which is too good to pass up.

If the local gangs interfere then RTB, otherwise, go get us that contract!

Contract 3: Nobility's Heart
Map: Fjords
Cargo: Food Stuffs
Payout: 300

This deal we've intercepted is a big one. With parts of the Baronies turning into powder kegs, a Baron from Ettingscove is trying to help defuse them. We'll have to deal with a local shipping company called Ettings Shipping for delivery. These guys are small time  but with how things are looking, if this Baron succeeds, Ettingscove could become a more vital province for the kingdom. Us being apart of this will eventually pay off.

Get on our there and intercept our rivals so they can't profit from this!

Contract 4: Mine in doubt!
Map: Dunes
Cargo: Mines
Payout: 300

So the local tribes are all in a fuss over sabotaging the pumps in Nalm. I don't foresee this escalating into a full blown war, but they are ordering in mines to help protect the city. The contract has been picked up by our rivals.

Just be careful what you shoot at.

Contract 5: Oily Branch of Peace
Map: Water Hazard
Cargo: Oil
Payout: 300

So these deals to help out the settlements in the teeth are bearing fruit. Seems like the contract we intercepted details new relations between Blackcliff and the settlers.

The contract is for oil, which is surprising given the state of the Baronies. Well doesn't matter really how or why this is happening. Just that our rivals are seeing opportunity and we need to put a stop to them. Get on out there and intercept that black gold!

18

Great matches on week two. Some real tense moments and comebacks. Gratz to the teams who have won so far. We currently have 2 teams in a tie for first with over 300 points. While that number may seem big, remember with one win you can net over 100. Even more if you get the bonus. On top of the points you are given to start, that can get you within striking distance of the top 6 easily. 1 week can make a big difference.

As a reminder to all participants of the Aerodrome, there will be 2 signups this week. This first signup is for the Trader Contracts. Meaning you are electing to be on Blue team and start with the Cargo first. The Rival Contracts will be posted on Wednesday for Red Spawn. So brave ones, add your names in. Rivals, plot with villainous grins and creepy laughs as you wait for your contracts to open.

There will be weekly prizes so be sure to keep track of your teammate names in case you win.

However for this signup, all I need is your company name and CEO. If you did not register last week, I'll need you to do full registration for this week. Example from the early registration thread for those newcomers:

Company: Zukasauce Inc
Mission Statement: "To spread Zuka's love through all the world via his sauce."
Base of Operations: Starostrog, Guild
Logo (Optional): <Artistic Zuka Sultry Grin image>
CEO: Zuka
Steam ID, In game Name: Zuka2016, Zukamania

Now because this is the official signup week. I need you to add one more bit of vital information...your match choice.

So reply with:

Contract Requested: <Insert map name here>

Then also if you could state if you are willing to mercenary for other matches, that would help a lot too. Basically means your official match counts but the others will be bonus battles to help fill matches. So "Willing to Merc: Yes/No"

If you already signed up on prior weeks or pre-registration, just list the contract you want and merc willingness.

Alright, thats it. Again, there is no long term commitment with this event. Take contracts as often or as seldom as you like. Twitch streaming info will be posted in the schedule thread later. If you are a new team, you will get passwords and mumble server info sent to you on here via PM from me.

Remember, all point payouts are split between ships on your team.

Week Three Trade Contracts:

Contract 1: Yesha's Will Be Done
Map: Canyon Ambush
Cargo: Propaganda
Payout: 300

The current state of affairs in Yesha has gradually calmed with the close of the war. However, many outlying cities who were not officially part of the Empire but sent tributes for protection, have been beginning to lose faith in the Yeshan Way. Local ambassadors are finding themselves at a loss as people grow increasingly dissolutioned and are reconsidering officially joining Yesha.

Thankfully, all we gotta do is bring those people the propaganda they need to distribute to the people. I don't have to remind you that a stable Yesha is a profitable Yesha. That includes these neighbors. Route through the canyons has already been plotted. First delivery is in Tiesha Sands.

Contract 2: Qinqaachi Gangland
Map: Fight Over Firnfeld
Cargo: Guns
Payout: 300

This contract is a direct result of Anglea's weakened presence in Firnfeld. Local gangs have been stirring up trouble and because Anglea isn't there to raid them and keep their operations small, there is now a turf war happening all across Firnfeld. Qinqaachi has requested weaponry from The Bully Boys Conglomerate, those mercenary arms dealers who took over Faberia.

Your job is to pick up the shipment from Faberia and deliver it to Qinqaachi. Try not to stick around too long. Qinqaachi is maintaining order but don't count on that forever.

Contract 3: Ettingscove Goodwill
Map: Fjords
Cargo: Food Stuffs
Payout: 300

The situation in the Baronies is not improving. There have even been riots breaking out in the northern cities. The fact that many Barons are living luxuriously while their people suffer is only adding to it. The king is making efforts but it is obvious that it will not be enough.

The baron of Ettingscove, guy by the name of Wrenfell is requesting this contract. Apparently he's opening storehouses and even his own personal stock to be shipped up north and help the people there. While I doubt it will do much good, it may be able to put a bandage on the situation and slow the bleeding a bit more.

You'll be working with Ettings Shipping Company on this job. Its a small start up in Ettingscove. They'll give you berths and shipments to deliver.

It is a noble task but just be careful up there. Wrenfell is making quite a few of his fellow barons look bad by doing this. They may feel threatened and try something. Best check for daggers and keep one eye over your shoulder.

Contract 4: Munker Days of Nalm
Map: Dunes
Cargo: Mines
Payout: 300

Turns out it was local sabotage that took down the water pumps. While they are functioning now, the damage was done and it seems a local tribal lord has been stirring up trouble in the sands. The Nalmese need mines to secure off the city while the remaining tribes wipe out this upstart.

Security has been assured by the Nalmese. They'll have ships escort you in and out. Mines have been defused for shipment so chances of blowing yourself up should be at a low.

Contract 5: Oil For The Teeth
Map: Water Hazard
Cargo: Oil
Payout: 300

Settlements are moving along nicely but they are running low on oil and fuel for their machinery. Despite remaining tensions with the Fjordlands, they have reached out to Blackcliff with an order and have surprisingly found that order fulfilled. Blackcliff has a shipment ready for pickup.

This is a big move that may signal a return to relations between these two nations. While Averna may not be backing it, it could indeed be a step towards something bigger in the future. Having our hands in it may pay off when that time comes. Get on over to Blackcliff and pick up that shipment!

Alright Rivals, your turn to select your matches for this weekend. We'll do this the same way we did it for week 1 and keep the less filled matches in the list and just merc them out.

There will be weekly prizes so be sure to keep track of your teammate names in case you win. However for this signup, all I need is your company name and CEO. Early Reg folks just need to enter their match selection. Example from the early registration thread:

Alright, thats it. Again, there is no long term commitment with this event. Take contracts as often or as seldom as you like. Twitch streaming info will be posted later, mumble info and passwords will be sent out via pm to new teams.

Remember, all point payouts are split between ships on your team.

Week Two Rival Contracts:

Contract 1: Black Ice
Map: Fight Over Firnfeld
Cargo: Fuel
Payout: 300

Word of a contract for fuel needed up in Gillburm has leaked. No surprise really. Anglea is always in need of the basics. Anglea is of course being ever rigid about Guild involvement on their lands. No surprise there either.

But none of that matters to us. There is still money to be made and Rivals to snuff out. Go on up and strike that convoy. Just remember the cargo is delicate and doesn't react too well to bullets or explosions.

Contract 2: Lager and Hooch
Map: Fjords
Cargo: Hooch
Payout: 300

This is big everyone, real big. Fjordlander hooch has been selling for extreme prices down in Vyshtorg. The brewing industry was pretty shaken up in the Fjordlands due to the war but with that over, the King is trying to restart it.

It has been many months since a fine Ettingscove Lager graced these lips! That said, it is likely similar for our rivals too. The payout for the job may be standard, but if managed well, this deal could reap quite a fine profit.

Go on up there and score us some of it before our rivals do and forever look down on us from their frosty glasses!!

Contract 3: Nalm Scramble
Map: Dunes
Cargo: Machinery/Parts
Payout: 300

Details in this contract that have leaked are simple. Pretty standard parts run but pressing in nature as local water supplies are being stressed already. Especially because the Nalmese have their water segregated.

Rivals have already departed so this will be a bit of a scramble to swipe the cargo en-route. Hop to it!

Contract 4: Livestock to the Future
Map: Water Hazard
Cargo: Livestock
Payout: 300

Details on this one won't make you super happy. But either way, investing in rebuilding the trade route in the teeth is something no one can pass up. Our rivals certainly aren't. Just be sure to handle the cargo with care and remember the payout when you scrub the decks of fecal matter. Be glad there are no cows listed.

Livestock...lets hope there are no more of these contracts in the future.

Contract 5: From Suna With Salt
Map: Canyon Ambush
Cargo: Salt
Payout: 300

Contract shipment from Suna to Chang-ning has been issued. Simple salt run but even big nations need salt. Head on up to the Endless Salts and intercept our rival's salt convoy. Strip it from them and while at it, pour some of the salt in their wounds!

Yes...strip the flesh, salt...*cough* *cough*...ack, sorry, got a little too excited there...war injury...acting up...yes, war injury.

21

Alright, week one is down. Moving on to week two!!

Week Two Trade Contracts:

Contract 1: Defrosting Iceheads
Map: Fight Over Firnfeld
Cargo: Fuel
Payout: 300

This contract just in from Gillburm. Heavy storms in the area this last week have dropped more snow than anticipated. Angleans may be hearty savages but even their cities under the ice can get too cold for them. Thus an order has been placed for fuel to use for heating. With fuel supplies still recovering from the war, there is shortages in many cities of Anglea.

As with all Anglean shipments right now, you will deliver them to the dockmaster in Kinforth who will then utilize local shipping services to deliver them on to Gillburm.

Contract 2: Fjordic Brewmasters
Map: Fjords
Cargo: Hooch
Payout: 300

You'll like this run. The Fjordlanders have a Brewery up at Northlake. There they have product that needs to get from Northlake down to Vyshtorg. The war interrupted shipments and the price of Fjordic brews have sky rocketed down south. Apparently it is a rather large delivery and the King wants to use it to help pay for the relief services being provided by the Guild. We'll of course keep it secret and sell it higher for as long as we can.

That said, due to the nature of the cargo, if a few bottles go missing, you will not be held accountable. The Guild will easily recoup by offsetting the cost even more.

Contract 3: Pumps For Nalm
Map: Dunes
Cargo: Machinery/Parts
Payout: 300

The refugees and soldiers displaced by the war and those recovering from injuries has placed a heavy burden on local water resources. As such, pumps have broken down in Nalm and unfortunately the parts to fix them are in short supply. Or so we've been told. However, I'd be willing to bet Slyka could be up to their usual tricks trying to drive the Nalmese out.

Thus this contract is for delivery of the parts needed to fix the local water system. We don't expect Sylka involvement against us but just be on your guard.

Contract 4: Arcca Fuzzy Wuzzies
Map: Water Hazard
Cargo: Livestock
Payout: 300

I've said it before and I'll say it again...we are never shipping cows. Unfortunately other critters are not exempted.

Due to deliveries made last week to Amida, they've listed a trade contract for a livestock shipment delivered to the settlements in the teeth. Now much of it is chickens and smaller animals so thankfully, you literally won't be flying around smelling of feces and your ship won't need to be washed as heavily after delivery. However, livestock is livestock...this isn't a glorious cargo run.

Just get this job over with. Hurry on up to Arcca then make your delivery to the settlers in the teeth.

Contract 5: Yeshan Spoilage
Map: Canyon Ambush
Cargo: Salt
Payout: 300

Preservation in food is important and Yesha has found themselves running low on salt supplies which has impacted their ability to supply Anglea and other nations with food supplies as is written in their trade contracts.

Thus a contract has been written up for us to pick up a shipment from Suna in the Endless Salts region and deliver it to Chang-ning. Just a simple milk run job. Nothing major, but even small things like salt can impact an entire nation right now.

Alright Rivals, your turn to select your matches for this weekend. I'll be leaving the Dunes contract in the list because it could still be filled with Mercs if someone really was hoping on Dunes. Although I didn't expect there to be much interest in it for this gametype. However, if it doesn't get selected, we may use it as a Merc mock cargo carrier battle just to see it in action. That or we'll do a fun match of some kind.

There will be weekly prizes so be sure to keep track of your teammate names in case you win. However for this signup, all I need is your company name and CEO. Early Reg folks just need to enter their match selection. Example from the early registration thread:

Word has it there is a shipment of luxury goods passing through the Fjords. Bunch of rich pompous Barons want to splurge on shinies while their people starve.

Well thats fine by us. Lets intercept that shipment and take that contract for ourselves! Never can tell when a favor from a Baron might come in handy.

Contract 2: Heroic Publicity
Map: Dunes
Cargo: Medical Supplies
Payout: 300

Independent states in the central nations are a mess right now. Word has it a contract for medical supplies has been issued for Nalm and Slyka. Showing up as heroes to those poor folk sure would do wonders for company publicity.

Lets hit that shipment and give our rivals a good thumb to the eye.

Contract 3: Channel Rat Monopoly
Map: Water Hazard
Cargo: Building Supplies
Payout: 300

So a bunch of peace loving channel rats got their homes redecorated with bullets during the war. Chaladon isn't helping so a contract has been issued for building supplies. Now this doesn't sound super lucrative but this was a major trade route before the war. If we set up shop there, we might have a strong monopoly on the area for awhile.

Lets hit that shipment and secure that channel for ourselves!

Contract 4: Scratch The Tiger's Back
Map: Canyon Ambush
Cargo: Metal Ore
Payout: 300

As much as Yeshan heroes tout reforms. There is no denying the fact the remainder of their fleets are important to police the north. Especially those blasted Arashi.

Now a contract has been issued to run raw materials which will be used to rebuild the fleets that were lost. Having a bunch of Yeshan Generals in our debt is a tantalizing idea for our company. Lets hit that shipment and secure a protection deal while at it.

Contract 5: Operation Icehead
Map: Fight Over Firnfeld
Cargo: Food Stuffs
Payout: 300

Angleans...weird folk cooped up in all that ice and surrounded by fantastic technology of the old world. Now I'm not fond of running up there, but there is a contract that was intercepted. Seems the iceheads partied too hard on the close of the war and are now facing food shortages.

Granted it wouldn't be a bad thing to rid the world of their kind. However, you all know these people don't go down without a fight. Last thing we need is them launching massive raids on our shipments elsewhere. Intercepting this contract would help prevent that. Who knows, we may even be able to work out a deal from this.

Sure would be nice to not have to fear every Anglean flag we see.

Greetings fellow merchants, traders, and captains looking to earn a few dollars more. Welcome to week one of The Mercantile War!

Example from the early registration thread:

Company: Zukasauce Inc
Mission Statement: "To spread Zuka's love through all the world via his sauce."
Base of Operations: Starostrog, Guild
Logo (Optional): <Artistic Zuka Sultry Grin image>
CEO: Zuka
Steam ID, In game Name: Zuka2016, Zukamania

Now because this is the official signup week. I need you to add one more bit of vital information...your match choice.

So reply with:

Contract Requested: <Insert map name here>

Then also if you could state if you are willing to mercenary for other matches, that would help a lot too. Basically means your official match counts but the others will be bonus battles to help fill matches. So "Willing to Merc: Yes/No"

Alright, thats it. Again, there is no long term commitment with this event. Take contracts as often or as seldom as you like. Twitch streaming info will be posted later along with a public mumble server for event use.

Lastly, the trailer vid will be released soon. Originally we were going to cut it up into smaller segments but due to time constraints, the full version might be all that gets done. Apologies for the lateness of it.

Remember, all point payouts are split between ships on your team.

Week One Trade Contracts:

Contract 1: Barons Need Shinies!
Map: Northern Fjords
Cargo: Luxury Goods
Payout: 300

Overburdened with war relief and bleeding their treasury to finance our convoys, the Fjordlanders are teetering on the brink of collapse. With such doom and gloom over their heads the local barons have done what only a Fjordlander would, place orders for luxury goods to spruce up their mansions.

The contract will be handled by Fjordlander representatives in Ravenrook. Time frame is listed as: "Urgent"

Those Barons must really need new gold backscratchers...

Contract 2: Plight of the Independent States
Map: Dunes
Cargo: Medical Supplies
Payout: 300

While the war was between the Pact and Coalition, local independent cities and towns were also drawn up into the conflict. Medical supplies are currently in high demand as these local cities will not be receiving any aid from the governments who took shelter in them.

Nalm and Slyka are representing the independent states and are your destinations. Just get the cargo to them, they'll take it from there.

Contract 3: Black Channel Needs Wood
Map: Water Hazard
Cargo: Building Supplies
Payout: 300

Battles over the channel have laid waste to numerous homes and businesses who inhabit The Teeth. They have placed contracts for building supplies. While this trade route is vital for relations between the Baronies and Chaladon, Chaladonian government has taken no interest in restoring ties, thus leaving local residents struggling to rebuild.

Representatives of the residents will handle your delivery in Amida.

Contract 4: Expansionist Peace
Map: Canyon Ambush
Cargo: Metal Ore
Payout: 300

With much of their fleet either destroyed or damaged, Yesha is in great need of iron and metal to rebuild their fleet. While this contract comes at a time when the new Consulate is focusing inward, there is no denying the need for defense fleets in such a turbulent time as this.

Proceed through the Canyons and you'll find your contact in Chang-Ning at the main military shipyard.

Contract 5: Starvation in Anglea
Map: Fight Over Firnfeld
Cargo: Food Stuffs
Payout: 300

It appears Anglea partied a bit too hard on conclusion of the war...again. There is currently widespread shortages of food in multiple cities and their trade contracts with Yesha are limited with Yesha itself on rationing.

This contract will be handled by local authorities in Kinforth. While they have permitted us to land and deliver the goods, they have not permitted any sightseeing. So sorry but you are requested to depart from Kinforth immediately after you make your stop. Any attempt to violate this rule and swipe some ancient treasure they've dug up will result in gruesome death and/or dismemberment.

Community Events / Aerodrome: TMW - Early Registration
« on: June 18, 2015, 05:44:49 am »

Well we've got about a month until the first matches happen. Now just because we'll be doing signups based on contracts on the weeks of the event, doesn't mean we can't start registering trade companies early. In fact, it would be helpful to get some listed ahead of time so we can add you into the spreadsheets.

There is no benefit or prize for doing this...well...how bout this, early registration teams get to put in voice requests for the casters. Like how I bug Brick to do Macho Man or Hulk Hogan. Lets see what ones you'd like to hear on the stream. Course I can't make the casters do this and Brick will probably kill me for even attempting this, but I'll keep referring to your choices and poke them with a stick till they either do, or mute me forever :D.

So have at it. Name your companies, provide a mission statement, and any other relevant details. If you have a logo, go for it. Not sure if our casters can get them all on the stream. They'll have to decide on that.

Example:

Company: Zukasauce Inc
Mission Statement: "To spread Zuka's love through all the world via his sauce."
Base of Operations: Starostrog, Guild
Logo (Optional): <Artistic Zuka Sultry Grin image>
CEO: Zuka
Steam ID, In game Name: Zuka2016, Zukamania

Don't worry about listing crew/etc as sometimes subs are needed. The CEO will basically be your pilot. They'll generally be the one who will be there more often.

Community Events / Aerodrome 3 Announcement
« on: June 08, 2015, 06:44:04 pm »

Teaser Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScDVT-r-RDA

Hello welcome to the official Aerodrome: The Mercantile War announcement thread. There are quite a few things to talk about so lets get started.

Some of you know this storyline was teased during Skies of Retribution. In fact I drew up the initial gameplay concepts about midway through Skies. Some of you saw the concept doc then but coming from that the ideas were refined and now we've got them more finalized. I would list the actual rules doc but a couple sections are still being refined. Nothing gameplay related, just management related. I don't want to confuse people with posting them. But I will briefly give a summary.

Full Ruleset Here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/12Za8l75Qd-ZzJsYnHOC8elU6ocbWZ0zh3dYrYC0Aaw8/edit?usp=sharing

Gameplay:

-3v3 TDM, 20 minutes, Cargo Carrier gametype
-Cargo Carrier is a variation of VIP but its basically kill the man with the ball and the ball can flip between sides. Ball turnovers will be announced so teams know at all times who is carrying the ball.
-Radar Ping system will be in effect. Every 5 minutes the ball carrier's location is announced via the grid on the map. Both teams also have 1 ping they can request at anytime during a match. This is to limit the amount of running and hiding.
-Like other Aero, a point system will be in place. If you can hold onto the cargo by the end of the match, you win the contract and reap the points. There are also points awarded for kills. Then to top that, there is an ante system where teams that do well can possibly earn all ante points that are entered via the contract signups.

Weekly Contract System:

-Single ship signups, you decide the name of your trading company. Each ship will represent a Guild company.
-5 matches each week
-There will be no formal signups before the event. There will be a pre-listing to get teams registered that want to add in early but the event will be open and allow for weekly entrance.
-Trader Contracts (Ball carriers) will open at the start of the week. Each contract represents a match to be played. During this time, teams can opt into a match and start with the ball. The contracts close mid week.
-Rival Contracts (Ball Hunters) will open after the Trader Contracts close. They'll get a listing of the matches being played and the competitors playing on them. They then have till the end of the week to pick their match.
-Traders = Blue spawn, Rivals = Red spawn
-Anyone can merc boat during the event but to avoid clan stacking, you can't merc boat for clanmates.
-All contracts are a first come, first serve listing. If you don't get the one you want, you'll have to choose another or wait till Rival contracts are offered. There will be no reservations of contracts.
-No limitations on which maps you play or who you play. If you love certain maps the most, then you better signup for them. The only thing limiting people will be others beating you to the signup.

Time frame:

Saturdays 1pm PST/8PM UTC. July 18th-August 22nd. There will be a bye week on week 5 so the top teams can decide who they want to fly with and practice for the final which will be a best of 5 match the following week.

Prizes:

Badges for sure, we're also working with Muse to bring in store prizes on top of that. Finalists will get better prizes than non finalists.

Closing words:

A full story trailer will be coming before the event. It is in production right now.  Weekly VOD narratives will not be happening during this event as the story side will not be as strong as other events. There will just be so many trade companies that it is unfeasible to make vids for everyone.

CP/CK gametypes are going to be absent from this Aerodrome. It is not because I didn't want them. Storyline wise, this contract combat works better, however CP battles would have been an option. The trouble is, the last patches have ruined CP. Matches are over far too quick and it just isn't fun or interesting to watch a team throw in the towel before the match even really gets going. Till Muse fixes this issue, Aerodrome will likely never feature CP again. We do have people poking Muse with sticks begging them to fix it so feel free to add in a stick of your own.

A special thanks to Cake Clan for their high interest in helping get this event launched. Cake's logo on the vid is intentional as they are assisting with the event. Helping with casting, streaming, voice services/etc.

Feedback and Suggestions / Why should the many punish the few?
« on: May 16, 2015, 07:37:21 pm »
MM is better with the changes, I'll give it that. Nice to not have the 3 matches looming over my head. To have that ever impending dread of staring at MM or custom game again.

But the problem is, there is still the threat of MM if people don't want to rematch. 99% of the time this happens, I instant leave crew form and either make a custom game or queue solo. But frankly, unless it is a bad lobby, I'd rather just stay in it. I don't want to return to MM and sit there hoping to get what I want again, 3v3s are hard enough to get into as it is. I don't want my enjoyment of gameplay dictated by others. If I want to stay, I want to be able to stay. If they want to go, let them. I don't care what they do. I just don't want to finally find a nice 3v3 lobby and have to be funneled back to MM just because they all want to. I'd rather have a crew of all powder monkeys or AI than be forced to stare at MM again.

The Pit / Chocolate Range Finders
« on: May 10, 2015, 02:29:25 am »
So old Simpsons episode where Springfield elementary gets this budget winfall and everyone and anyone's idea is approved no matter how dumb or strange it is. Ralph Wiggum of course proposes Chocolate Microscopes.

So lets play a game and see how wild we can get with Muse. Say Muse has overnight become more powerful than both EA and Activision combined. Anything and everything people propose, will make it into game. No matter how outlandish it is or completely off the wall, Muse gives it their approval stamp. So, what would you propose Muse make?

The Pit / If GOIO was...
« on: April 18, 2015, 07:58:33 am »
As popular as CoD. We'd have a zombies mode where you have to fight wave after wave of steampunk zombies trying to take over your airship. Powder monkeys would have a reason for existing since they'd be the gun toting lunatics...and swabbies...swabbies...would be noble sacrifices to ensure the pilots escaped successfully!!

So...take anything in this world or fantasy world and respond to the title. If GOIO was...then whatever comes to mind. It can be other games or even as simple and stupid as a McD's Happy Meal. Just gotta describe what it would be like if it was whatever you'd imagine.

There a calendar or something that lists everything instead of having to go thread by thread to figure out when all the long time frame events take place?

Pages: 1 [2] 3 4 ... 8
