The chivalry devs were the ones that initiated all the crossover content. they did it with depth, payday 2, killing floor 2 and even rocket league.

I would like to inquire, for further explanation on how is matchmaker pointless, and how did it remove social elements. The statements puzzle me.
This game has a playerbase that is just too small for a matchmaker to work. The social element is about my personal experience. People used to socialize in lobbies, but now we are stuck in a matchmaking queue for 5+ minutes each game and rematches are rare, so you are forced to go back to the queue again.

I think the main issue is that there have been barely any gameplay content updates for skirmish mode since release. The things a multiplayer game like this needs: maps, ships, guns, MAPS & MAPS. Slow progress on adventure mode, stamina and a pointless matchmaker that increased wait times and removed the social element are not what this game needed.

If they were willing to change ships, and they might be open to it in a very minor way, I'd recommend just putting something directly in the back of the ship between the engines. Like some big barrels or crates, preventing players from doing a full circuit and potentially stopping them from hitting the top engine from underneath. Now it doesn't need the nerfs as much because it's harder to keep everything repaired. The change itself wouldn't require too much extra effort either, which is a nice bonus.
I always thought that would have been a good way to nerf the pyramidion too.

This is why kiting is a standard tactic for pub stomping.

You get your scout ship ahead and fly really obvious. Shooting shots wildly. You get spotted and immediately retreat back to teammate but don't quite hurry about it as you wanna reveal your ally just at the last second.


Most scrubs will chase you. In a vet/scrub team, this forces the vet teammate to commit as well. But seeing as the scrub ship is prolly about 500m ahead. Thats plenty of time to either severely hurt or kill the scrub ship to force a 2 v 1.

thus resulting in 2 easy kills. If consistently stupid. rinse and repeat.

I criticized the lack of new content in skirmish mode in a recent email exchange. The response was that they have added over 1000 'things'... The only truly new gameplay content that has been added since i started playing was the hades and minotaur, one of which is useless. Everything else was cosmetic, ui, or some bug fixes and so many changes that were not for the better.

Seriously, though, sounds like a shit-ton of work that Devs cannot afford.

thats my first thought. But then I realised this is the suggestion section where all sorts of insane people suggest ridiculous and pointless crap with very clear lack of understanding of what balance and practicality is.

hmmmm I wouldn't mind a winning kill replay though. I often do get confused on what factor of which to blame the scrub on his ball dropping.

Now instead of saying you suck. I could then say you suck because of this screw up that you repeated.

This is not true. Lobbies of icarus just happens AFTER the queue.
