My 2 cents on why I stopped playing.

Focused too much on changing game systems and less on game content.

Also I get matchmaking, you want to make it all nice and easy to use for console players. But it made enjoying the game a lot harder for me.

Also on stamina, I just don't get it. Sprinting as an engineer, why do I need to sprint on a teeny little ship, I'm not on a US Destroyer. Gunner kinda makes sense I suppose, reloading a gun way bigger than you faster. Pilot is the most absurd, it's like magic. Am I captain Harlock? And my ship is my dead friend's spirit and I can command it to just magically turn hard? (That would be cool.)

But yeah, that's my opinion. Game in it's self is still fun, the only aerial ship game out there.

A moment of silence for all the great crew who never get a mention.

Clans in general are complicated Tanya.

Once you stop having fun you leave.

Complication.. Simplified.

I'll have to jump in here and put in a plug for Squash and Captain Smollett. Though they've both been out of the game for a while now, my memories of playing against them in RAFT vs Paddling games still represent the most intense, challenging, and fun experiences I ever had in competitive Icarus, and managing to beat the Paddling in Cogs S2 is the accomplishment of which I am most proud, perhaps even beyond my time with the Mandarins. The sheer coordination and accuracy of the Lucky Duck's long range fire was truly a thing of terror, the equal of which I never again experienced after the Paddling's retirement. Squash and Smollett were, in my opinion, the greatest strategic minds Icarus has seen, and the Paddling was its first and likely best uber-team. They deserve to be mentioned here.

Until The dancing feather and the corkscrew came in to wreck mama duck and baby duck. Good times.

War Thunder has around 18,000 players according to steam. And many more who just download it through their website instead of steam. Even with such a big player base you will still be matched against people who are higher tier than you.

World of Tanks has around 80,000 players, you are still matched up against people who are higher tier than you.

This game has around 100 to 200 people playing on average. Even Farming Simulator 2013 has more players, it has 3,000 people playing it. I'm not sure why you thought match making would work in this game, maybe you thought the future youtube event will bring us thousands of players like always that this time will not drop the game in a week's time which is why you added match making. If that works then good job to you, Muse. If the youtube hype dies out and we go back to 100-200 players, then we can greet back our broken match making that doesn't have anywhere near enough people to properly use!

I wish only for the best to this game, but the future is looking grim.

I apologize for my actions and behavior from yesterday's match, I didn't realize that it would offend people and to those people I apologize for insulting and or offending you.

Best: The people.

Worst: Not enough people.

a new rule:

Players are asked not to use match chat in a way that may be offensive, whether it be profanity or otherwise.

Oh, right. I should get around to this.

I'd like to thank every member of my team for their dedication in working towards making what happened on Saturday a reality. This goes out to Frogger, Illmatar, Kami, Shukketsushi, Charon, Pechka, and Kubitsuri, as well as Xemko and Keon, the other two Raft members who were not present for that match. It's always been a pleasure flying alongside you all. Now let's hold this spot. We have big shoes to fill, but if Cogs Week 6 is any indication, we'll be prepared.

Fear us.
