The Lounge / Recommended Movies, Series, Shows and Anime
« on: September 15, 2015, 10:03:27 pm »
So I did a quick search and except for some anime threads here and there, there wasn't much about this topic.

Recommend movies, series, shows and anime - or pretty much anything else that entertained you enough to recommend to others.
Provide a short description of the recommendation containing details such as the genre, release years and a short description of the plot - or pretty much anything else you would like to share.

TRY TO KEEP THE THREAD SPOILER FREE PLEASE!

Gameplay / Fire charges caused by various weapons.
« on: July 23, 2014, 12:14:27 pm »
I have been researching a bit about fire charges chance of different weapons and I would like to share some of the data with you, in hopes of confirmation:

Banshee - 35% on direct hit to cause 1 stack | 26.4% on AoE to cause 2 stacks.

Hades - 25% on direct hit to cause 1 stack | 40% on AoE to cause 1 stacks.

Flamethrower - 18% for 1 stack.

incendiary is quite peculiar since the last update I found to mention it, gave it a 25% separate chance to cause 1 stack - while in-game it says 20% (might have missed something).
^ I have three questions regarding incendiary:

1. is it 20% or 25%?
2. When saying a separate chance it is implied that on top of the check of say, flamethrowers 18% fire ignition chance, it will have a 20%( or 25% but we'll roll with 20% for the sake of the example. ) to ignite one more stack. Will it work like in the attached file? or pretty much just a 38% to cause fire and 62% to not cause a fire?
3.will it have this function depicted above on both direct and aoe? meaning you will have an extra chance both in direct hit and aoe hits? or only direct/only aoe?

I would love to hear from a person with code access since it is very hard to accurately test those things in sandbox, about confirming, correcting and or answering what was said above, and additionally of ignition chances of more weapon ( basically all explosive weapons ).

Gameplay / Guns and damage behavior
« on: June 19, 2014, 07:09:23 pm »
I was lately wondering about the following scenario - say you shoot a bullet, from a buffed gun, bullet is traveling mid-air the gun ran out of buff - bullet hits the target with no buff on gun. Does it actually count as a "buffed" shot?

Same logic in shooting a bullet with charged, reloading to greased, and then bullet hits target, is that greased damage, or charged?

Finally, both the above, but with mines.

In addition, on a side note, when you have charged, buffed gun, does the buff multiply the damage added from charged, or just adds up on top of it? i.e. -

BaseDamage + ChargedExtraDamage + BuffExtraDamage  or  ( BaseDamage + ChargedExtraDamage ) * BuffMultiplier  = TotalDamage

Thanks in advance.

Feedback and Suggestions / Mines
« on: June 16, 2014, 01:36:53 pm »
I do not know if this is intentional or a bug - mines disappearing after ship's death.
Either way, please remove it, it's quite annoying and illogical...

Gameplay / Gun Range
« on: June 15, 2014, 06:08:32 pm »
Concerning gun range, say for example, Flak. It has 1km max range - at default projectile speed. but say you put lesmok in it, which should multiply projectile speed by 1.7 - does that mean max range will be directly affected to get a 1.7 multiplier too? i.e. 1.7km? Or is there a different way of projectile speed to max range relation?
