The Gallery / Re: Big Brass Revival Week One - Fancy Cloud Dancers

It's pretty funny actually because I was absolutely determined my internet died in a big storm we had, and then 5 days later I was cleaning around the room to find out a cable was loose... I had no internet for 5 days because a cable was loose. I'm smart.

Community Events / Re: Sunday Community Skirmish #100 Alliance
« on: April 29, 2016, 08:04:13 am »
Not that I want to necessarily enter, but noone else is allowed to join the alliance game?  Seems odd for "community" event.

We wanted to make the event a surprise and so there wasn't any public sign-ups for it, in exchange, teams that recently played SCS were contacted and asked if they were interested in playing and if they can indeed produce a full 8 member team that owns Alliance Mode.
That is the reason why the event was a special invitational event taking place in addition to the "normal" event in Skrimish Mode that is open for sign-ups.

With that said, any team that can indeed produce a full 8 members team for the event is welcome to notify us and we will see what can be done about it.

An important correction:

This is the sign up for the Sunday Community Skirmish #99, happening on April 24th at 8pm UTC (3pm EST)

The event is happening at 7pm UTC (3pm EDT) and not 8pm UTC (3pm EST) as stated above, I hope no confusion has been created - signed up teams have been notified.

Q&A / Re: Chem Spray vs Extinguisher
« on: January 03, 2016, 04:33:07 pm »
If I'm maining on a Pyra or Goldfish, I go for chemspray. Works great in a long-range Pyramidion taking Hades shots - a spray here, a tap with the spanner there, no need to panic at all.

Does anyone use chemspray in a mobula? If so, does it depend on the build?

I take extinguisher on mobula when a lot of switching between top deck guns to lower deck guns happens, that's because you don't have time to go to chem between clips. But when you have a build that makes the engineer stay only on lower deck it is pretty reasonable to let him chem between clips - so I guess you can take it then.
In addition, it can also be situational with what the enemy is bringing, if there is no chance for long range fire, and you fear fire only in close range where the engineer will most likely spend his time on lower deck guns anyways because repairs - it is possible to take it for the close range potential fires.

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Rage quit rememdy
« on: December 31, 2015, 12:42:54 pm »
Also the people that were 'Ready' in the lobby against the rage quitting ship chose so because they knew what the ship was, they suddenly then get a different opponent to fight that they don't even know the loadout of.
Not to mention its pretty unrealistic, and to be completely honest, it requires additional coding muse will most likely never do.

Due to the winter holidays and subsequent lack of participation, SCS #83 will be moved to Sunday, January 3rd.

Enjoy the holidays and have a happy new year!
