If you know Zil, he's not only considered heavy carrorade for dealing bamage, but have allready used it for Stripping Armors. The infamous blender galleon for example - it was a hell repairing armor on pyra when being blasted by 2 of them.

Carrorade was a reat weapon but not an overpowered one (especcaily if you saw it comming). It required your full time commitment to an enemy, otherwise it was completely useless. During that time you were butt naked against his ally that should have been punding you from exposed behind.

To be honest, I don't see anything wrong with it. Its a tactical repair, after all. The game is revolved around destroying the other team's ships and getting points for it, so, if its in one's power, why not get back to full health? However, if they get tapped with an enemy weapon during the event, doesn't the other team get a point?

I'll reffer you to Yiski's post why it's wrong (he wrote it more elloquently that I ever would).
If people are morstly aginst it, Swallow will supposedly add it to the COGS rulles that such tactics are against the rulles.

not if you bring artemis/merc, that build is for dissabling anything with heavy weapons (light weapons take quite a bit more practice to dissable) - jou just lock down galleons heavy weapons (it's permahull was listed as in she shup loadout bage as 1400 BTW). If you have guts and learn pro Scyla light mortar (aspecialy since is has virtualy 0 spread nowdays) - that gun has double DPS of Light Flak

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Map revamp, some other small things

While players that have ben playing long enough to know approximate range numbers of speciffic weapons (Banshee 810, Echidna Light Flak 790, Manticore 1275, Artemis 1250 for example) new players don't. Old weapon stats showed details like this (allong with nominal damage by type and a few other).

As for map orientation: unless stated otherwise north on all (modern) maps is on top of them map. Unless map orientation is off, maps generally don't have orientation on them (nowdays).

As for sale being displayed on the map - I'm against it. I think it should remaim for players to have to guess distance by their experience. It's one of the thinkg that keeps both lght and heavy mortar from being utterly and completely OP. If we make everything too spelt out and obvious we risk taking the charm out of the game. Oldschool vs newschool. Newschool is Newerwinter (MMO from Cryptic) witch litteraly draws you ans imaginary line on the ground where you should go - and it feels like the developer thinks I'm retarded. If the add a separate casual mode or tournament mode then range helpers of one form or another could be implemented, but I want there to be a way to be able to force both teams to use the harder dificulty if the match maker wanted to, or alternatively allow both teams to use the easier way of doing things.

As for object visibilits and naming: I think displaying ally ship names and making them more contrasted from the map is a great idea, I think the opposing them's ship names should remain hidden.

Wind: Wind gauge has allready been requested/suggested (would probably be a pilot tool). --again not the fan of wind direction being displayed on the map (dunes has no winds, scrap has the rolling sandstorm that is super obvious and you want to get out of asap, duel has I think a norht-northeasterly wind all over the map, watter hazard & refinery have localised winds if I remember correctly)

TL;DR:
--objects in the foreground on the map: YES
--keep the quadrants
--ally ship names can be on map, enemy ship names not
--no wind directions on map, yes for Wind Gauge, pilot tool
--no range scale on the map (outside casual game mode)
--detailed ship and weapon stats like they were before should be written in the ingame manual or somwhere ingame (if nowhere else-old players know those stats probably by hear newer players don't)

Cheers

Depends how broadly you define that, but she is/was awesome at thet job.
--As for lumberjcack I have no idea, since I've allways been terrible with it.

On the topic of rottational/amgular speed: I think the projectile still inherrit the ship's angular speed.

Sounds lika a nice idea, but it would make skips like spire and junker even weaker than they are in comparison to pyra galeon ans goldfish.

Like it or not, that 2nd top gun is for the pilot. Spire is too squishy to have the bottom engie trek up there and then start taking fire. Problem is unless you are a long way out, your spire gets focused rather quickly. This pretty much negates any chance of you using it in short-mid range.

Alternatively you could just put a piercing + explosive combo and have gungeneer man them both, one at the time and have pilot and main engineer man the other only when you have time to man the other. - simmilar to having pryra hull engi do trifecta with bottom front gun in 1.1.4 or 1.1.5

Actually prepatch rotational speed of Artemis was just fine imo. It was a great weapon even before. It could even defeat Polaris on their dual spire build (since it only hav 1 main and 1 light fron weapon) with Pyra fron Merc/Artemiss build.

Maybe keep it for sniping matches or when one team keeps camping King on the Hill on Scrap while the other team is playing the Dunes. Gives the stream something to watch, withle nothing is going on.

Admittedly I'm certain MNS could have done much better than they did in that match. Coordination didn't look as good as ussual and quad-carrorade dalleon is not good at killing other galleons - excelent against Pyras (i can attest to that) but not against galleons. Despite not being made for destroying armor, it can strip Pyra's Armor very fast and then light flak can deal with the pyras permahull. I salute zill for trying to change meta, but this time the combo just wasn't well tested and tried enough. Especialy with lumberjack-hawacha galleons on the other side.

My predictions:
Match 2: Gents 5-0
Match 3: Paddling 5-3 (Paddling just have that much more experiences)
Not predicting my own match.
As for MUSE vs OE: Muse 5-3

Hit marker should stay, since more often as a gunner you have no way of telling wether a shot connected or not. It could have exploded/disspated short of the target. It could have flown between various parts ( if you are shooting the broadside of a galleon and are aiming for one of th main guns, you can fire a shot that goes in on your side and out the other side without coliding with anything on the way, becouse the weapon patform on galleons leave huge holes in the hull, just for an example) on it could just be lag issue and cprojectile flies thru enemy ship without dealing any damage.

Ballon Buff lasts about 5 seconds if buff indicator is to be belived (it takes bout the same time to buff it as it tahes for the buff to wear off).

Hoora for click and hold buffing, couse my arm almost fell of when I was doing 800 buffs achievment (i think it's "One Hundret and Ten Percent"). It took me almost 2 months to het from level 8 engineer to level 9 engineer couse I'm stuck on some achievments.
