...Quidditch with airships?

I can get behind that.

They're not public, and they're not transports! I mean what's up with that?

If they were public, then there would be a sense of civic pride. There'd be far less crisp packets and sprinkled urine in the buses, for instance!

And if they were transport, they'd actually take you where you wanted to go, instead of a spot with a two mile uphill slog between your destination and the 'transport's' destination.

I hate buses.

...I'm surprised I never saw this thread.

Well, my name is Swallow, 'cause I've always gone by weird names. I used to go by "D_K_Head", but being called 'DeeKay' all the time gets old... Plus the non-underscored version was taken when I tried to sign up to League EUWest, so I decided it was time for a change. I chose the name Swallow in part because at that point I could recite the entire opening to The Holy Grail off by heart, and because my real name is James Starling. Starling and Swallows are both songbirds.

Yes, I really did name myself after the bird. So stop giving me weird looks.

EDIT: Oh, and I added the Sama because Qwerty brainwashed me.
After a quick wikipedia: "When used to refer to oneself, -sama expresses extreme arrogance..."  :P

Surely that doesn't surprise you?

I usually go with the classic delayed, "...Well shit.". Failing that, I just read out twitch comments until the swelling goes down.

The funny thing is: I set the time for the Cogs at 4pm EST due to it translating into that... But every time I think of when the Cogs are due to start, I forget the time in GMT. (Curse you DST!)

It really would be helpful to add multiple timezones into the mix... Preferably by someone who can handle them without wanting to punch holes in walls.

I fully endorse these changes.

Season 3's going to be fun.

After intensive internal discussion on the merits of the suggestions proposed here; we the ex-cogs host who actually wrote that rule back in Season 1 and promptly forgot about it would like to request additional feedback in the form of the following:

If you could, please answer the following question in the form of a name.

"On a scale of Louie Spence to James May, how tight is this conversation's shirt?"

Cullen's not around at the moment so I'm posting. Still not running things though: Bug Cullen with complaints, questions, complaints, comments, complaints and complaints. I'm busy!

-Match 1-
Semenovskiy Flot vs The Gentleguard
[Map: Labyrinth]

-Match 2-
Pastafarians vs Previous Winner
[Map: Canyon Ambush]

-Match 3-
The Raft vs Merry Men
[Map: Northern Fjords]

-Match 4-
The Paddling vs Black Flight Squadron
[Map: Duel at Dawn]

As a reminder: Pastafarians are up for elimination this time around against either the Flot or the Gents. That's gonna be a bloodbath.

Good luck to all participating teams. As usual, the event'll be streamed by whoever feels like doing it at the time.

Enjoy yourselfs and stay safe!

...Where's the cypher, Morbie? It's not that hard.

...I actually like this idea. We've toyed with adding multiple cogs at the same level before, but it's always fallen flat at the highest level due to the fact that there's only one Champion spot, and adding in addition cogs to the existing rotation made it possible to win a match and then have to play for survival or sit a week out... But I can see a few ways around that too with this setup.

I wish someone'd brought up this layout sooner.

Finally got around to mine... I'm not proud of it, but at least I finished it.

My neighbours will never see me in quite the same way again, I fear.

so with this hiccup in the procedure, is Aurora squadron still on for the 20th or are we pushed back. and if we are on, who are we facing?

Would you like to be involved this week?

There are a few changes happening this week... So expect a tiny delay. Maps have been rolled and the brackets are ready to roll though.
