I will probably write something more detailed later for feeedback, but currently i am VERY VERY WORRIED the new meta will switch to sniper camping protected by a wall of mines.
This will be INCREDIBLY BORING.

I fear that the Gatling will have trouble staying that viable. The Gatling currently does 106 armour DPS (not counting the subsequent reload) assuming no buffs and 100% hit rate. With heavy clip, it'll do a paltry 69 DPS. And without heavy? Good luck getting a lot of hits in. You need to be at pretty much point blank to get a good hit rate.

That's bad. I'd very much prefer to have a less damaging base gatling than an inaccurate one. It is so boring and frustrating to fire the normal gatling, shots go everywhere and its not funny.

There's mostly one thing i'd love.
All docking and undocking procedures must be done manually. Crew must use ropes to secure the ship when its docked and to guide it outside the docking area. Also if you hit walls you damage you ship and unlike in skirmish, you need to pay money to repair it. Then i want a very busy docking area with all players needing to pay attention to each other movements. And wind direction and speed.

Feedback and Suggestions / Re: Fully Rotatable Cannons

I thought about a ship like that, too.

Even further. A ship composed of two gondolae, connected by extensible ropes (about 10 meters max lenght).
Two pilots. One controls the right gondola, the other the left one. Gondoale are tethered by ropes but otherwise free to move in any direction as guided by the pilots.
One helm has nearby hull, the other has nearby balloon point.
One gunner has a 360 gun that house TWO gun turrets, one to be shot with right click and one with left click.

Of course the two pilots can move the gondolae and extend the ropes connecting them up to 10 meters. More than 10 meters the ropes break and the ship is destroyed :D

Gameplay / Votekick function
« on: June 29, 2013, 12:44:09 pm »
Hi there.

Today i was with 2 friends on my ship, along with other friends as our team mates.
The last spot on my ship was filled by a first level engineer. We tried to gently tell him what to do, but he wouldn't listen, in voice chat or text chat. He stood there messing repair cooldowns, emptying guns on buildings just before we engaged the enemy, and the forth.
We thought it was a new player, but he wouldn't listen to us.

Halfway into the game he came on voice chat and started insulting us, trolling, and generally trying to make us have a bad experience.

We reported him of course, but he transformed a good match into an horrible experience.
We absolutely need votekick for situations like these. I know it could be exploited, but as it is now, i as captain have no control over what happens on my ship and this is unacceptable. The current system can be exploited too, and the only solution for us would be to leave the match with our friends and find another. And what if this guy followed us?

I believe there is a need for a captain or the crew to kick a member while ingame (in the lobby would be great too -- but you can just not start the game there, plus you don't really want to kick level ones around).
I would have gladly played with the AI rather than with this person.
