i dunno, here in america spelling "C" words with a K usually has bad connotations, like Klan and Kombat.

so, because of B'Elanna singing that narwhals song, and getting it stuck in my head again, i've decided to post this, as it seems more appropriate.

On occasion I get asked why my Mobula is named fhqwhgads, or how to pronounce it.

The answer is obvious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=votBDwhTu1E

I think the mobula has a few fhqwhgads-esque qualities. It's definitely to the limit.

i love you.

most of my ships were homestar runner references, though i changed my ship names around recently

my goldfish is now called Going merry.
and my galleon is named Thousand sunny.
both are named after the ships used in the Anime One Piece.

then we have my Spire named Red Glare, in reference to the Star Spangled Banner and for the fact that has a Hwacha, 2 Artemis' and the Hades.

the cake is a symbol of the gentlemen? Ridiculous.

this whole event is obviously all about us Cakes. all the happy birthdays going around, the colorful streamers, the cakes with FIRE on them. It couldn't be any more obvious.

jumped into a match that zenarck was in, his captain had bailed so i took over, we ended up winning the match and i gave the standard "GG HB!" and this amusing little conversation happened.

them: HB?
them: whats "hb" mean?
me: it means Happy Birthday!
them: oh god, its you again.
me: me?
them: not in particular
them: i can't handle this anymore. *flies away*

he then left the match...

i think he may have faced a few cakes before and couldn't take the heat.

Anyone want to do Banshee/Hades junker?

that IS my junker. i love it personally. its all about distance control! the one thing about it is that its not a fast kill, and lining up the trifecta is tricky.

Any number in games left is one too many.

Would this include for example, a power cut?
Disconnects aren't included in games left (or at least shouldn't be, according to muse).

i was told this by the devs.

then i got disconnected in a match and now i have 1 left match....

Zander's appraisals of the patch so far!: i spent a lot of time today with Cakes and Overwatchers, and i even piloted a little bit, i flew a Banshee top, Hades bottom, junker with some success, i'd like to see what a good pilot could do with that build. then the rest of the day i found myself on Spires and Pyras, the first Spire was Hades/??? top and lumberjack/flare bottom, i got to fire the Hades and man was it hard to get used to the way it fires, honestly i spent most of the day firing this gun, and i was having issues landing hits, but oh man when it does hit it wrecks stuff. for those using it i recommend lesmok and/or greased. later on i found myself engying for Puppy Fur on his double Artemis/lumberjack Spire which was used to great effect unsurprisingly, my biggest comment on this is that the spire's health buff it pretty noticeable, as for the health debuff on the Pyra i can't really comment on because i wasn't able to main engie on one, though while on Ace's ship we had an instance of two moonshining pyra's ramming each other, we exploded, Ace claims we were at full Armor/hull but i remember it differently, but i wasn't the main engie so *shrugs*. The other ship i spent most of my day on was Puppy Fur's double Hades front/gat/mort side Pyra, it was brutal (when i was able to land my shots), while with this ship we faced a gat/mort pyra and a junker of some sort and i noticed that we took out their balloons at around the same time we stripped the armor off the ships. The other thing i noticed about the Hades is that other people can't see it arm like you can with other guns, so as a captain you'll need to learn to eyeball the distance you have to stay at to use the gun.

OH and at some point i was the gunner on a shotgun goldfish (piloted by B'Elanna) and despite the longer reload time on the shotgun, i didn't really notice any difference, i think that due to the increased range i was able to pop the balloons earlier, and as they dropped i was able to get the next two shots into them before they were too low, and i don't know if it was my imagination or not, but it felt like it stripped armor even faster than before.

General Discussion / Re: Question for Pilots
« on: September 19, 2013, 08:36:43 pm »
my most piloted would be the junker, and my least would be a tie between the squid and mobula, as i've never piloted either of them.

though i WILL be giving the mobula a try soon.

just a reminder, when asked all this week Muse has said "this week" rather than giving a date, so its very possible that there won't be a patch today at all.

As far as my character goes, for roleplay or whatever, I think I'm going to go with Dirk Somethingorother.

may i suggest Wellington? In a superhero PnPRPG i played in, i had a character whose name was Dirk Wellington, the name was well received, it just has this good feeling when you say it.
